Same as Brighton last week, ref gives us a pen and then folds to the crowd pressure for the rest of the game. Still no idea why Rose was booked yet Zanka, who wiped out Kane for the millionth time near the end, escaped a second booking, then quickly followed up by a foul given against Kane for having the ball kicked at him.

Good performance overall. Not our best but the majority of that was Dier being rubbish tbh. Rose looks much more like the Rose we had before last season, hopefully that will continue.

The linesman seemed to panic and just give something randomly. No idea what he thought happened there.

We've always switched between 4231 and 3521, even during different phases so it makes sense. What's really caused us problems is trying to play 433 and 4312 in the early games when we don't look comfortable in it. Good practice for midweek too, if we play with 2 cbs against Barca we might as well give them the 3 points now.

Solid if unspectacular performance by Spurs. Got the job done and defended well.

Kane, Alderwerweireld, Sanchez and Rose all excellent.

Son was poor I thought and although Dier defended well his passing was atrocious.

Hopefully Eriksen Dele and Vertonghen are fit for Barca. Spurs against Barca at the Nou camp. How mouth watering can you get.

You should have waited until Spanish news had an article
about a Spurs supporter sitting alone at the Nou Camp on
    wednesday, before telling him.

  11. Tripps and Gazza were excellent too and Lucas was a consistent threat.

Glad to get the three points but that was another poor performance.

Don't like being negative in our wins but there was absolutely nothing to our game, thankfully for us Huddersfield are just a shockingly bad side at the moment so we were never really worried but I don't think it would've been so easy had we faced a decent team.

Really need to step it up because as Pool and Watford showed, we can't always play poor and get away with it.

A good 3 points against an ordinary team that put in a lot of effort for their fans, without us really getting out of second gear, so happy with that. I thought our better players today were Kane, Rose, Toby and Gazza, who did everything he had to well. Worst players for us today were Dier, Son and Dembele, Dier`s passing was particularly tragic. The rest did their jobs without setting the world on fire, we`ll need to be a lot better on Wednesday to get a result though.

It's worth remembering that we've only played 2 from 7 at Wembley in the PLand a CL game in Italy and a LC game in MK.

Given that disadvantage, the stadium delay, having so many players at the latter stages of the W C and Sonny at the Asian Games, we're doing remarkably well. Performance levels are a bit down but the results are coming and that's been our problem in the first 8 games or so under MP.

It would have been nice to take HK off at 70 mins but the 2 earlier substitutions did for that possibility.

Can I just say that I fookin’ love the look of Gazza between the posts.

Not only does he share the same name as a past Spurs legend, he looks assured, he’s vocal and is constantly communicating with the team. He’s made some great saves already in such a short space of time and seems to bring us a ton of luck.

Oh and he’s easy on the eye (in a non-gay way). Bloody great GK

Several of us on here were suggesting we should have let Vorm leave in the summer and have Gazza as Hugo's understudy - and so far this season, we've looked spot-on in that assessment.
