"I know the fans will be disappointed. Very disappointed. I'm very disappointed too but that's the nature of the window. We can't force these players to sign and we made some very, very good offers but as is the nature of this window; those offers were not accepted and that's very disappointing.

These were great players and you want great players in your team so it's disappointing not to get these great players in but we'll carry on. We have some great players in this team so lets not be disappointed.

It's very important as a team to pull together and pull together in the right direction so disappointments aside; it's time to focus and pull together in the right direction; starting now with our great players."

I'm disappointed that so many people are disappointed. The fans, the players, the old lady that got shouted at. It's a very disappointing state of affairs.

Shouting out your views is one thing. If you are using abusive language that offends someone, is it really much to ask to phrase your views differently? I let stuff slip during the game, frequently and through a lot of the match if I am unhappy or feeling particularly high tension levels. Specially at the ref. If I notice that this is offending someone I will appologise. May even make the mistake again, but it's not the ladys fault she was brought up with different morals and values. Personally I think it's sweet and should treasured. The attitude you are expressing is very much a representation of the "Broken society" we now live in.

If it were my mother/nan, you could expect to see very different headlines. Though the person in question may not have been so uncourteous to someone less fragile.

We should strive to set an example and hold a moral high ground over other fans, to create a positive view of ourselves and our club. This is not the sort of publicity we need when the clubs strongest asset is us. Besides, she's on the same side!!! In-fighting is just silly.

Besides, it's MA's fault (as usual) for trying to get rid of the singing section. There's a reason for having it.

Back to the topic. I do not think Pardew will walk, though expect he is a tad embarressed after what he said. He surely will have said we are getting someone based on the boards reassurances.

That may be, but people shouldn't go mouthing of at pensioners tbh.

The fact he swore or shouted during the game is not an issue for me, I'm guilty of it myself. I just don't like people abusing the elderly or being racist. Especially to a spanish chap who has nothing to do with terrorism!

    Makes perfect sense to me.

NUFC will make a statement this evening agreeing to answer fans questions from Evening Chronicle readers but this is just a pre-statement for the statement that will follow on next Friday when the club announce they will answer questions from Evening Chronicle readers as clearly defined in the previous statement stating that NUFC agree to answer fans questions from Evening Chronicle readers.

Stick the words "said questions" in there a few times and you're a lawyer! :)

(Yeah, mainly just trying to fill the thread out now)

Its all lies. I don't beleive anything that comes out of the club anymore. Ashley and Pardew are the biggest bull ****ters in the business.

I'll be surprised if there's a statement and I'll be even more surprised if the club answer evening chronicle reader's questions.
