It looked to me like Saiz had been told to look for the pass first and shoot second, I thought he was more of a team player yesterday. Roofe and Bamford are both injured, once back they will be first and second choice up front.

Morning all. I think the look on the lads face told it all, he was more surprised than anyone.

Ability is more important than size.

We need a striker bad!! Someone like Lee Chapman, Joe Jordan for example, our build up play is excellent but need s target man upfront, Roberts is too lightweight for me, Alioski and Harrison need to step it up as well for me, again Alioski again is driving me nuts with his offsides.

Good Morning from a sunny Inverness,Reading reports it would appear that we should have got anothger striker in in August Roberts is still not up to the plateI thought at first clubs have realized that BPF was susceptable to long range shots but having seen the goal not even Gordon Banks would have saved that one!
Will Roofe be back for Hull,Harrison has got rave reviews today

Considering he’s third choice and been thrown in unexpectedly early I thought Roberts had a great game

Tireless display, some great runs into the channels, nice lay offs, constantly pressing

I’ve been impressed with him tbh

But you need to have at least one of those attributes, size, ability or both. Having neither doesn't really cut it now does it

Eddie Gray, according to something I read, thinks he would be better as a winger.

Yeah but let’s face it Eddie’s a bit too old to be a winger now

    Now that was deserved. I'm
Agree, that’s all we were missing last night. Great performance and if we start taking our chances we’re going to give someone a right gubbing. Bit worried that Roberts is becoming the new Ekuban.

Even if their was a natural finisher/targetman someone like Lee Chapman available, christ how much would they be worth now, would possibly be right out of our price range, still think a premier league player at the tail end of their career would be a good bet,one that immediately springs to mind is Peter Crouch, deadly finisher in and around the six yard box, think he could do a job for a season or so,how many of those crosses would he have been on the end of last night and how many would have finished in the back of the net, would have only taken one and bam 3 points thank you very much, player like that could possibly be the difference between auto's and the playoffs.

Like it or not players like Chapman and Crouch don’t fit into the Bielsa system

Remember if Plan A isn’t working stick with it until it does, there is no Plan B of sticking a big target man up there

Which hardly puts him in danger of becoming the new Ekuban

I was thinking more of an impact player coming off the bench/covering injury's etc when needed, sure would have been a useful option last night.
