If were honest, we feared wed struggle to win games when we lost Roofe and Pablo at the same time and so it seems. The sooner we get those two back, the better imo. Were close but just need the extra spark they seem to produce
Actually, in fairness I was worried we'd get turned over and doubt would set in as last year, same as Eire. What we saw though was a Leeds team with total belief even after losing their first game of the season, and I now have no worries going forward about a similar capitulation to last year. We should have won it, and that's evidence of Roofe & Pablo being out, but last year we'd have lost the game with Roofe & Pablo playing - that's the difference. MOT.
Spot on Davy, my thoughts exactly... I’m more confident tonight about our season than at anytime previously. The performance answered the question of responding to a defeat. Previously we’ve handled the big physical sides we capitulated to last season. We look the best side in this division. If we can maintain the intensity for a season we will go up.
If Boro & WBA win away tomorrow, we'll be third and that's probably realistic at this stage - showing great promise and desire but not grinding out enough results last few weeks due to injuries. The lack of cover debate goes on, but I think we're suffering more going forward than at the back. Long season though and I'd have taken 2nd/3rd after 10 games on August 1st.
I'd like to think 'ull could get a draw against Boro but I can't see Preston getting anything against WBA. I wouldn't mind Norwich and even Millwall doing well this weekend, for a change.
And that about sums it up how long can we go on without some clinical finishers in the starting eleven.Saiz looks scared to take a shot .if only he would score just one goal .maybe it would loosen him up a bit or maybe pablo is the missing link.still think we lack height in the box and for all our shots on goal only one was hit with any purpose.
Thats the thing with this league its surprise surprise every week.time and again we have failed to pick up points when other teams failed.so hull is a big game now to put us back at two points average per game.
