I'm hoping for a really good response from the team and so who knows, they might surprise us. I actually have a soft spot for Swansea as I have family in that area of the world, and I felt they built a really good footballing side a few years ago. A shame it all went to pot and they were relegated last year. They haven't started that well this year, and only find themselves three points above us, in 14th place, albeit with a far superior goal difference. For those heading to the game, if you have time go for a pre match stroll through the hills or along one of the stunning beaches in Gower, just west of Swansea. A stunning spot with beautiful scenery. Otherwise, there is a big shopping centre just next to the marina, and not far from the station. The stadium is about a 45 walk from the station and sea front, but once at the stadium you can enjoy a KFC or Harvester. A bit of spice has been added to the fixture this week, with reports in the media that Angel Rangel was desperate to stay at the Liberty Stadium but wasn't offered anything, so joined QPR. Thoughts about that anyone? Full team news will go up when it is on the official. Come on YOU R'SSSSSSSSS
From highlights and reaction to our last 2 games, McClaren is in dire need of a good performance and a result in this our 10th League game of the season. So many say wait and see how a new Manager does after 10 games before making any judgement. If McClaren's bosses do just this, he might be gone this time next week. I for one won't miss him.
Pretty sure that was taken on one of the beaches I recommended, thanks for highlighting the stunning coastline.
Only going to tick off a new ground. Not expecting any actual enjoyment or positive memories. Anyone know a nice spot for lunch?
An area called the Mumbles is rather nice, I should imagine the pubs and eateries there will be a cut above the Swansea standard. Haven’t been to Swansea for decades though.
Very true, this is a pub I have been to a few times in the evening and food is good, although haven't been for a few years now; http://www.poundffaldthreecrosses.co.uk/index Just been told by my brother this place is actually a lot nicer now; https://www.kingarthurhotel.co.uk/pubs-in-swansea-gower/ A little bit further though. Too far according to Dad.
