No. We beat Hull 10-9 in the 13/14 season in the League Cup. We lost six consecutively before that. https://www.transfermarkt.com/tottenham-hotspur/elfmeterschiessen/verein/148
It was the only part of the game that Mason could not influence Although I'm surprised he didn't blow for offside when we scored each penalty
Nah, the first goal was offside. Klopp said so. You must be going to penalties. I wouldn't recommend it, to be honest.
If we get a lower league side next round, I want to see some academy kids have a go in CM. Winks looks to be blown as far as confidence goes.
Just a reminder that this is the player that had the 2nd penalty saved: please log in to view this image
Nah I was at the marathon one in the league cup v Hull just before FAB was sacked...ended 10 -9 or something
I thought that he looked much, much better when he moved centrally. Absolutely awful out wide for most of the match, constantly cutting in and playing it backwards and sideways. Then he picked out some really nice passes and was a lot more involved.
Gazzaniga's three games for us: Palace last season - MOTM. Brighton on the weekend - MOTM (although personally thought Rose should've won it). Watford tonight - Saved the day in the penalty shootout. please log in to view this image
Winks did well in the second half, once again people have no patience with players coming back from injury. Wanjama also needs more time but remember just how good they were before their injuries you miserable bunch of malcontents. I blame RCL
I thought that the returning players actually looked reasonably fit and sharp, but the system was bloody awful. Pochettino needs to stick with the 4-2-3-1 for the foreseeable future, as virtually every attempt at something else has failed this season. The 4-4-2 diamond against Utd in the second half came off, but partly because they went mental with their tactics, too.
You would expect them to look fit PNP but being fit and getting back up to speed are surely two different things.
