The point being its football not a gay dating agency were your words, then a Dale Winton reference. You may be in denial methinks.
Original point, DJ thinks is attitude to the press is poor. So do I. You dont. Shall we move on.

[QUOTE=TIGERGURL-'Phil Brown was a media mans dream. But a footballing disaster by the end. Give me the silent but successful manager anytime'
I can't believe people want a performing seal for a manager, if I had the likes of Swan and Burns asking me stupid questions every week i'd be pissed off too. The fact is we have one season with the manager, the home form is poor but last season we had the best EVER away record in our history. Of course the majority of the moaning neg-heads only go to the occasional home-game if at all so thats what they see. I'm glad we have such a great core of young players now and as it's the second day in September and we aren't bottom of the table I'm quite happy thanks. TWF/Percy/Mclean is the most vocal neg-head on here but he has just stated he has only been going for 12 years, I'm assuming for the first few years he didn't know much about football so really he hasn't seen anything like the bad football I have at Boothferry.

As for Brownies 'success' the last thing he left us with was a near bankrupted club so I don't have such a rose-tinted view, you can't take success at any price, glad Pearson is in to re-build from the total mess we were left in by Brownie/Duffen/Bartlett

It's still an unpopular opinion among fans his age - I'm younger than him, and as I've stated on another thread, I have seen a lot worse than what we're playing now (even at home)

Exactly H-D, the argument is the football isn't much good but when you've seen far worse that doesn't stand up. Even when we got promoted a lot of the football was dire.

Quite simply the best description of Phil Brown I've ever seen. Genius. I can just imagine him asking Duffen for ridiculous amounts of money to sign Bullard while shouting "SMELL MY CHEESE"!

The more I think about it the more it fits. Think's he's big time, really isn't. Slightly socially awkward. Even though he's a bit of a knob you can't help but like him and feel sorry for him at the same time. Once had a cow dropped on top of them (maybe).

I wonder if Brownie is now living in the Preston Travel Lodge?

I thing Nigel Pearson is doing a fine job considering the state of the club when he took over, I even like his post match interviews. He just doesn't like to say much. He never Slags off players . Hated how brownie allways blamed everyone else when we lost. I'd like to see NP given 3 seasons because I'm sure he will build a good young team. Still think we could make the play offs this season. right now wer only 7 points off the top . I reckon behind the closed doors of the dressing room NP is the type to blow his top at times. Championship is one of the best league in the world , not easy to build a team of world beaters on little money.
