Deleted my proper Facebook about 6 years ago, had it set up for me by an ex girlfriend when I was 17 or so as she wanted to have the "in a relationship with" thing. Used it pretty regularly through uni but shortly after finishing I binned it. Was pissed off with people texting me asking why I hadn't responded to some invite/message on there when I barely used it. Told them if they've got my ****ing phone number why not just message me on my phone you bellend. Girls were also obsessed and thinking I was messaging other girls on there. Although since not having it it has gone the other way, people think you are weird and hiding something. A few girl mates have told me they don't trust someone without it Mongs. I do now have a private one that nobody can see or find, as you need one for the various dating apps
My gf was fine with me deleting it, and she’s tempted to do it too. I don’t think Facebook is healthy for the mind. It’s a drain, and it’s become a hive for thick people to spout their crap.
Yeah I never updated my status. Only time it would change would be when some comedy genius would get hold of my phone/laptop and it would be "Saintmagic is gay" I did spend a fair bit of time on there though, just looking through **** that I shouldn't give a **** about. "wonder what that bird from year 5 is doing now?". It sucks you in and wastes so much time. It is a good filter for tracking down idiots in your friend group though.
Can't be arsed with ****s....they get you acting like a metrosexual ****ter if you're not careful. You sound like a young brother...take my words of wisdom and hold them tight to your bosom...you won't go wrong.
I'm on Facebook but I'm not really that active. I always thought it was a good way of sharing pics with people you don't see and live afar, like grandparents and stuff. There are also a couple of useful 'groups' on there I use, mainly for the local junior football leagues but others are ski/motorhome skiing stuff. The **** that gets posted on it though are of no interest. I've had bother twice through Facebook as well, once from the Mrs and once with a mate. Most of my posts on FB are ones from Instagram I've shared. I like Instagram. Again, it's photo sharing really.
What I really hate about Facebook is you’ll take to someone and they go all small tall, saying lol etc, The state of them, I’dexpect a child to day that not a 26 year old. when they say I see, That really my pisses me off, It’s like they don’t want to talk to me.
Just created a narcissistic society all this stuff...I don't really give a **** how cute someone's newborn is tbh...I don't wanna see your bump either or an X ray of your womb..thanks...you can keep the picture of the spazzy footprint to yourself too. I also don't give a **** who's eating what and where...I dont care that your on holiday...or that you're sat in some ****y hipster bar....and tbh I dont really give a **** about any anniversaries that are important to you. People who are interested in this are mentally challenged and have empty lives of their own.
And don’t get me started on Father’s Day, when women start posting it like it’s their 3 month old baby writing it. ****s.
buying ****...like a ****ing 3 month old kid has just gone n bought it...or expecting you to go shopping on behalf of a kid. Your the kids mother..when he's old enough he will buy you something you needy bitch ffs
This never happened before social media, why now? Attention seeking ****s. None of the dads want these messages plastered so every one laughs at their expense. And if they do, they need to take a hard look at themselves.
Its women..I'm telling ya...same reason they all need a gay friend..they want their own blokes to think like that.
That thread is for comments like 'Rolling a spliff' 'Just had a ****' 'Might have an affair' Not FB ****
A mate of mines wife to be was the most active FB/Instagram poster I've ever seen. Constant pictures of herself, with kids, without kids, just kids, kids eating something, her eating something, smiling and highlighting her perfect life She killed herself earlier in the year.
God knows what was going on on her life but all that FB stuff just makes people need other's approval all the time or they start getting depressed.
There's a competition out there amongst many to show how perfect and happy their life is. They never post pics of them looking like complete ****, it's all about fancy food, cute babies, gym bodies etc. etc. It's vacuous bollocks. Not sure it causes depression but she was clearly using it to disguise it. I still maintain both FB and Insta have perfectly valid uses, it's just the majority don't use them for that.
Agreed. I still use Instagram and follow select friends around the world as it’s nice to see what they are up to, and I know they aren’t posting to make their life look perfect.
