Off Topic Doves - ( The band )

I’ve been listening to them a lot over the last couple of days, I remember hearing pounding by them or around that time and I’ve been a fan of theres ever since, They’re an underrated band in my opinion.

 

They're basically pigeons, but not as ****ty looking.

 

I’m on about the band, Stay on topic.

Great band Matth.

I even remember them as Sub Sub, who also had some cracking tunes back in the clubbing days.

Same band believe it or not, minus the bird singer.

My favourite Doves song is Pounding.

 

I noticed the bass guitarist is in there.

 

It's the band when they were younger into the Manc dance culture.

They then became 'indie'.

 

The album that's from is probably their best, The Last Broadcast.

Lost Souls and Some Cities are also very good, Kingdom of Rust less so.

 

I’ve got those albums, I don’t understand why they didn’t get the credit that they deserved to be honestly.

 

They aren't mainstream.

I think they got some critical acclaim but commercial radio stations would never play them.

You should get yourself a digital radio, listen to 6 Music and some other independent radio.

 

Put it this way, They’re better than some of the stuff I listen to today.
