nice one... thats one at least. hopefully its a sign of things to come. Or.... let me put it another way. Klopp signalling to Sarri that its safe to bring up the stiffs we won't go hard on them. If we put ourselves in the cheslea managers shoes for a moment. He's done fine for a start, this is an away draw he could not have wanted. The guy has some capital with the fans and owner. I don't think the fans could really give a crap but abramovich might take it badly were he to lose... so why spend that capital playing a weakened team and losing badly at anfield? Cheslea team selection will be interesting GK: some issues there... he could play green or cabellero.. RB: zappacosta LB: palmieri? CBS: now has an issue that rudiger went off injured last weekend. christensen and cahill were my picks CM: Perfect game for Ampadu. played for wales so... CM: drinkwater? if they really dont care about tie CM: barkley: must be in line for start if he came on in last game. LF: hudson odoi... must be in line.. very very good prospect this one. RW: pedro out so? will they stick loftus cheek up there? I dunno he might be injured ST: they have rotated giroud and morata. no faith in either? i think this will continue tomorrow I mean... this could be a very good game between two reserve sides
Virgil van Dijk fitness latest Liverpool will carefully assess Virgil van Dijk's fitness ahead of Wednesday night's Carabao Cup tie with Chelsea. The No.4 had to be taken off early in the second half of the weekend win against Southampton after sustaining a further knock to an already existing minor rib issue. At his pre-match press conference on Tuesday afternoon, Jürgen Klopp was asked for an update on Van Dijk’s availability. “He is much better. It is still a bit painful, nothing else,” replied the Reds manager. “Painful is already not too cool, so we will see how we deal with that. But it’s already better. How we thought after the game, it’s not too serious but it’s not nothing. “So that needs to settle, for sure. I didn’t speak to him [yet] today so we will see how he comes here today and then we’ll make a decision about him.” https://www.liverpoolfc.com/news/first-team/318133-virgil-van-dijk-fitness-liverpool
Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp says Chelsea are being overlooked as title contenders https://www.skysports.com/football/...lsea-are-being-overlooked-as-title-contenders
remember that forest lad... Lee? pineapple head. he has psychological issues over the abuse he got. now its just what kids do.
If in any doubt... Even the slightest doubt... Don't play him... Heck even if no doubt... Don't play him. Rest him for the league instead of playing him in the league cup. Of course we want to win, but I don't think any tears will be shed if we get knocked out of league cup early.
If I have to choose Win League cup at home or lose league cup at home and win the fixture in the league at Stamford Bridge on Saturday. I know what to go for. I would prefer winning both because I do not want Chelsea to dent our home record.
I do think it would be nice to keep the run going for as long as possible. If we beat Chelsea, that will be them and utd out already and opens it up for others.
us city, spurs and arsenal? still a lot to do for little return, all be it maybe a final (depending on draw) and maybe a cup. but to what expense?
