Hello boys (and girls), we seem to be rather de-focussed for some strange reason. I have just realised that if we win this tie then we go through to the last 16 teams. This tie is very winnable and I really would go for it. Then, we just need to hope for a good draw next round, which if won would mean the giddy heights of the Quarter Finals.
Clives preview from LFW's. TBH I can't find a better video than the one he includes from the cup replay against Arsenal in 1990 when we went on to play Blackpool, see there is a link.....for the younger posters on here it shows what a bloody good side we had then and how we could beat the champions from the previous season comfortably and we also took cup ties seriously........28 minutes of video, make a cup of tea and enjoy. QPR's epic 1990 FA Cup run - History Tuesday, 25th Sep 2018 09:08 by Clive Whittingham QPR played nine FA Cup ties in 1989/90 before finally going out in the sixth round to Liverpool. The remarkable run included a double replay with tonight's opponents Blackpool. read the rest here.....https://www.fansnetwork.co.uk/membe...news/48726/qprs-epic-1990-fa-cup-run--history
Whilst just browsing around on various sites whilst having a cuppa I saw this photo of the Morgan twins on LFW's....... please log in to view this image Now it's not the picture of them that interested me but the advert behind them for something called "Fremlins Beers", I've never heard of them or tasted their beer so did a bit of digging on wiki and it turns out that they were based in Maidstone & Faversham Kent and were a respected independent brewery until they were taken over by Whitbread who basically demolished the business and sold the brewery sites for development.......Does anyone on here recall this beer? Kent was always renowned for producing good ales from local hops..... Right tea break over, back to work.
Great. Then I hope that we see him (unless he is injured!). It is terrible how BOS, Smyth and Kakay have dissapeared after showing such promise. Let's hope that they shine brighter this evening than the Blackpool Tower or Pleasure Beach.
So partial news...Cameron and Rangel are rsted/not travelled. In order to get them fit enough for Saturday Now that is definately fair enough. No problem. I assume/hope he is going to play a mixed sort of team tonight, not make 11 changes. A win would be good for morale
Chair for Exe maybe. But first I'd like him to put out our best possible 11 in 4 2 3 1 to win the game, then rest the ones who most need a rest when the game is won.
A chance to get into the last 16 of a cup competition, possibly to draw some big bollox club from the best league in the world at HQ under lights, away at a League 1 side, make some much needed money, what could possibly go wrong?
Hopefully Bright Samuel plays and scores against his former club. Although I can't recall any of our recent players scoring against former clubs so probably won't happen. It always seems to happen the other way round though. Matt Phillips being the latest example and Gorks a few years ago.
