I guess the blazing helps, but when I stopped for, admittedly, only a month I was bored ****less. All I did was work, gym, football and sit at home. Blazing should help with the sitting at home as the main benefit of it in my experience is making being bored and doing nothing tolerable.

I might try the no drinking thing for awhile again, not bothered so much about the booze it is the just the other things that come with drinking that I should try and cut out.

Mate i I haven’t drank for 15 years so I know you can do it for a year.
Went to a party last night and drank loads of Budweiser Prohibition - which is alcohol free

try it or Heineken 00 which is also good, or San Miguel AF

Hope you're doing well Libby... although I tend to think you've just swapped booze for weed. Try a year totally sober? That's tough. Smoking weed daily makes not having a beer a piece of piss if we're honest.

Anyway I'm doing Sober for October. Should be fairly challenging as I have a beer or 2 every night that I'm not oncall for work.

I'm knocking the beer on the head for October too. I only really have 3-4 beers on a saturday night these days, when I'm listening to some tunes and unwinding from the week. But even that makes me feel a bit jaded on a Sunday. Gonna knock it all on the head and see how I feel.

Cheers mate and I wouldn't say replace as such as I was already smoking anyway but I of course take your point. I'm making sure I have the odd day off it too and trying to not smoke during day much.

Gonna try and address it for new year as it's the lesser of two evils for now. Good luck for next month pal.

    Yep.

Had those a few times myself when I’ve had to drive, etc. Best of the zero alc beers imo.

    Mostly.

I suppose you get used to anything eventually, but it’s the best I’ve drunk,

Hard to get here and expensive too, so I drink San Miguel 0/0 % which is ok ice cold.

Another trick is to mix half of ordinary beer with no alcohol like Becks. Usalky means you can drink at least 2 pints before going over the top. Maybe 3 at a push.

We used to do that in Saudi back in the day. Knock up some home brew and double it up with alcohol free.

Get Heineken 00 as I rate them the best imo.

look online as there are some special sites that deliver loads of different alcohol free beers and lagers.

Tesco and Asda now we’ll AF gin and tonic in a ready mixed can - very nice

Why even bother drinking alcohol free beer/lager? Surely there are soft drinks that taste much better

I always thought the same but hadn't considered the placebo effect until g4e mentioned it early I'm this thread.

I couldn't drink a lot of them but it was alright having a couple, think they'd work better in the Summer as well tbh.

Also do they still contain the same amount of calories ? Just curious .

TBH I have no problem drinking a pint of lime and soda etc , while others are drinking beer , ale ,babycham etc .
