Anyone think Mourinho will last beyond Christmas at best? His meltdowns have started much earlier than usual!
Didn't watch the game but were the players downing tools and not playing for Maureen? I would hazard a guess that players like Pogba are leading the way to get rid of Maureen. There is no mystery that his form went downhill when he came to Manure and the Maureen style of play doesn't suit him at all. Probably the worse manager to play under as an attacking player of a top 6 side. Manure ain't going anywhere with Maureen and it looks like he's run out of ideas. He's faced with much better opposition and managers now and it's showing with his inability to change his style of play. The problem is he can't even get his players to play the way he wants now, which is evident after a 3-0 drubbing at home against Spurs. It wasn't even City or Liverpool! Manure need to get rid but that would cost them a lot as Maureen is covered against such eventuality. I won't be surprised if he left by Christmas.
He wasn't good enough for the PL when SAF refused to promise him first team football and he still isn't.
He's good enough to play for a title-winning Juventus team and he's good enough to play for the World Cup winners, but he isn't good enough to play for Manchester United? That doesn't add up to me. You say he isn't good enough for the Premier League, but I am pretty certain that if any of Klopp, Pochettino or Guardiola were managing him, he would be performing to a higher level and much more consistently than he is right now. Your manager isn't getting the best out of him.
LOL. Pogba is one of the most talented midfielders in the World. Good enough to win a World Cup, Multiple Serie A titles but... 'not good enough' for the EPL.
It's crazy Alexis Sanchez only has 3 goals for United soo far! He really doesnt seem to suit Moureens negative style.
To be fair, his performances before he left us weren't that great either. I think he only had like 8 goals in 22 games before he went to United which, for a player of his calibre, is substandard. I thought the reason why he wasn't performing to his full potential was because he was unhappy staying at Arsenal and wanted to move, but whenever I watch him play, he seems to have lost a yard of pace and that burst of acceleration he used to have. He gives the ball away more than he did when he was with us too. I don't know if it's a style thing or if he's lost a bit of explosiveness. Given how much football he's played over the last 4-5 years, with minimal breaks, it wouldn't surprise me if he is starting to decline.
I was surprised how well Sanchez performed for us as he was never a regular first team player at Barcelona which is the reason why we were able to get him.
Are you sure? I've not checked how many starts he made for them, but in the 3 seasons he was there: 1st season: 41 appearances, 15 goals 2nd season: 46 appearances, 11 goals 3rd season: 54 appearances, 21 goals Obviously they sold him to make room for a better player in Luis Suarez, but I guess part of the reason why he didn't perform for them consistently is because his technical ability wasn't anywhere close to the others in that team. Xavi, Iniesta, Messi, Pedro, Villa etc were all on a different wavelength to him. Ironically, despite him not being a consistent performer for them, they sold him on the back of his best season in terms of appearances, goals and assists.
Despite your relatively poor start to the season, you are level on points with Tottenham and above Utd.
Sanchez was actually very good at Barcelona. He was in direct competition with the best player on earth. Guardiola felt they were both suited to the same position.
West Ham with another big win. Pellegrini seems to be doing a great job after a tough start. Always great to see Mourinho squirm.
Interesting results today. United vs Chelsea draw was probably a good result for us. We could potentially go third on Monday. Was weird listening to the bullshit that come out of the commentators mouths though. Eden Hazard. I like him alot. Could be the best player in the league. (I would personally go with DeBruyne) but.. he is nowhere near the best player on the planet. That talk is absolute trash. Comparing him to Messi and Ronaldo!?.. Get a grip. He's 27 for ****s sake. He's no up and comer. When Messi was his age he had already attained over 400 career goals. He was having 60 and 70 goal Seasons and at 31 he is still miles better than Hazard. For what it's worth aside from Messi and Ronaldo I would say Suarez, Neymar, Mbappe and Griezmann are all at Hazards level. The british media talk such Rubbsh at times.
The British media specialise in talking and printing rubbish, it’s what makes it entertaining. It also means they don’t have to work hard, they just have to recycle the latest ‘fashionable’ views. There is very little quality in the written media and in commentators these days. As for the ‘pundits’ the only ever decrnt one was Jimmy Armfield. Of today’s lot, only Pat Nevin is worth listening to
On a bright note, Reiss Nelson got a brace this weekend: He's scored 4 goals in 163 minutes of football. Getting him to sign a new deal and sending him off on loan to a decent league was a fantastic move. Although I don't agree with those asking for us to recall him in January. Let him flourish for an entire season in Germany, get the game time and let him come back to us ready for the 2019/2020 season in prime condition for the Premier League. We've got one hell of a talent on our hands here.
On a slightly less positive note, Chambers has been struggling at Fulham. To be fair, their entire defence is utterly dreadful, but a lot of Fulham fans are begging for us to take him back in January. Initially I found it bizarre how he was struggling so much for them. After all, he was quite impressive for us when he played towards the end of last season at centre-half. Then I realised he's been shifted around from right-wing back; to right-back; to centre-half. No wonder he's been struggling if he's being shifted from different positions in that way. He isn't a full-back or a winger. He's a centre-half. If Fulham continue to play him as a fullback, he will obviously not perform well. Not sure if it's entirely fair to single him out though, as even when he hasn't played, Fulham's defence has still looked pub standard.
