It's all just backtracking and deception trying to keep up a story based on a premise of virtue signalling designed to protect her rep and marketability and absolve herself of any involvement, she's forcing the blame on the coach (he'll take it because he needs the job and dollars she makes and can maintain that what he did wasn't pre-arranged and just a spontaneous emotional action in a tense moment) and hoping everyone will forget If anything that final might define her career, it should do, if that is her legacy then it's all she deserves
she's virtually assured of being in 3 of the 4 grand slam finals so IMO next season she'll be all smiles and girl power and retire at the top having taken all the records. I doubt that final will define her career but it should be up there.
Sadly, you're probably right I wasn't a Serena hater before and respected her accomplishments, but what she did in the US final and how she's acted since proved she's a massive disrespectful c-unit and I hope she never wins another slam
I rathered her than the sister. I can remember supporting her to beat venus way back but once the roll started i completely lost interest in womens tennis... its was just a procession barring injury. At this point though... well It was unseemly to say the least. I won't really mind if/when she wins the titles next year and i'm sure this will all be air brushed out. It'll be one last spind of the federer, nadal, djokovic wheel next year that will take any interest i have. TBH it's my mother who likes tennis so i only keep up to have conversation... bar federer of course.
On the mens side I worry about the game once those three retire, the level of players below them is very sub-par. When the pretenders do start winning slams it'll only be by default because Fed/Nad/Djo have retired One young player I do like is Tsitsipas but he might turn out like all the other hyped younger players and amount to not very much
If a young Mike Tyson with that killer snap was coming up in the game right now I'd be more interested
****ing BBC Salford ****ing over Tiger Woods the last couple of days. He's won some ****ty comp and he's 'back'. Can't believe he's in the yank's Ryder Cup team, the spitting twat. He's always been useless in it.
Its a story.. at least that manc loving twat Mcilroy fell apart as per. I don't really like the whole woods story. the stuff that came out when he was "down" and people lined up to kick him now they had the chance wasn't very nice reading cos he's a nasty character. I breifly tuned in at start of final round and saw him walk to first tee.. hordes of yanks hanging over barriers to wish him well and he blanked the lot of them... some will call that "focus" others would say he's a walking **** He's in the yank team cos he played decently well over past year. He is in imo on merit. he is 13th in the world and 11th on thier team rankings. But yes he's been pish at these. he is not a match play type of player, no big hitters really are cos they might win tournaments scoring eagles on par 5s but thats still just one point and if they **** it on par 3s or are in rough half the time they win no matches.
I'm open to culturally appropriate slants on my concept Edit: Why is RHC quote appearing even now in edit but not the posted message???
Tbf ive watched most of the golf this year and it has to be noted that he's not remotely like he used to be... constantly chatting and smiling with players and fans throughout... just think he didn't want to balls this one up because it was right there on the final day and only a **** up would stop it happening. Oh and it was the tour championship so not entirely small time and if Rose had dropped just one more shot Woods would have won the Fed Ex outright as well. His record at Ryder cups is indeed pish but I think going on performance levels he's a more sane pick than Michelson. . Who has been terrible last number of tournos and still going! Doesn't matter, hate to say it but they are going to **** the backdoors in of the European team. Rory can't do 4 days in a row. Always one round ****s his comp.
