I’m told that some of the ‘biggest’ readings recorded in training were taken when the guys were playing around heading a football (soccer) ball. If that’s the case, it’s needed in footie ASAP
Back to winning ways i know but i'm still angry with the way they fielded a weakened side in Ireland..
It makes sense when you think about it, especially when it's wellied at the wall or at close range. Ouch.
I've just subscribed to Premier Sports so I'll be watching (recording IF I can get a stream for the Swans) Scarlets v Ospreys and then probably Leinster v Munster. Got a few Guinness in the fridge ready It's ridiculous I can't subscribe to Championship games the same way - easily and at a reasonable price.
Wonder if the TV will focus in on the new mouth guards / gum shields that the Ospreys are using? They can detect concussion and/or the risk of concussion in real time. Both Evans and Smith were hooked recently before they were concussed - so preventative. If the trial works, it will be a game changer as Clubs will no longer be able to hide behind the defence of ‘ignorance’......
Didn't know that, very interesting. Presumably they keep some sort of running total and their's got too high.
I wish i could have been at the game as it looked a cracker, End to end stuff between these two great sides.....
It was a good game. The biggest difference was the penalty count - 16 to 2 to the Ospreys. Scarlets bossed the second half, Ospreys the first. Unfortunately the Ospreys didn't have the nous to convert their dominance first half into points.
Great result and some stupid penalties aside, a great performance too from the youngsters Really enjoyed the Scarlets game as well, a good evening's entertainment those two games.
https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/rugby-union/46060428 Neath RFC, along with Swansea, Llanelli, et al, is writ large in the historical annals of Welsh Rugby. No teams ever relished visiting The Knoll, especially touring teams. The creation of the Regions is now having a deleterious effect on the game at large, and it will be a sad day if Neath RFC were to be wound up.
Ireland deservedly defeated the All Blacks for the first time on Irish soil...now for someone to do it in the World Cup next year
