That is true. But (in my opinion) Spanish's posts were based purely on a dislike for the man (and were short) and seemed to reach fever pitch a couple of years into his tenure, not a couple of months.

Yours come across as some sort of gleeful excitement at being able to prove that you are correct.

Of course. That's just my opinion and you are entitled to express yours. I'm just highlighting how (at times) you have come across

I think it says a lot about your state of mind that 1)you consider someone could be arsed to set up two identities just to take part in a forum like this and 2)just because two people have similar views which oppose your own they are brown nosing or in cahoots, bit pathetic really.
BTW am I also now Scowey(a third identity!!)/up his rear end?

I got pelters for sticking up for a good manager for 5.5 years who did well on zero budget.

Get pelters for criticising heavily the current regime.

    But hey there we go.

If Hurst can prove me wrong, I would be delighted.

If anyone is wondering why today I’m sayiny various stuff today, it’s brcome beyond me being diplomatic with various posters.... who despite me doing numerous write ups, balancing points have just been snide and dig central for years.

There comes a point when you get fed up, so there you go. Everyone has a breaking point.

Well ... I wanted Hurst until he was hanging players under a bus pre season.

So far, he is to me what mick was to Spanish.

Therefore, until he does otherwise he won’t be getting a lot from me.

Earlier in this article I’ve given numerous reasons why I want hurst out.

    Not one, many.

If we were on a play off campaign like 1415 I’d be behind Hurst all day long.

Some on here couldn’t even do mick the courtesy of that.

And I’m the negative one! Can’t make it up.

I appreciate that it's a stressful time being a Town fan at the moment, and some supporters may not have bought into the Paul Hurst methodology more than others, but is this back and forth really necessary? Do we want a return to the Jewell years that turned a few supporters away from this forum? While everybody has their opinions on Hurst, the squad, and the direction of the club, I honestly don't believe that anyone on here wants our club to get relegated or play poorly. We're all entitled to our opinions, but maybe we should take a breath before posting comments including rather barbed, pointed, and personally denigrating remarks? We're all presumably adults after all.

As for Westy, I do not agree with some of his opinions on Ipswich this season, but he's stating his opinion and this is based on what has been a poor start to the season. We can argue that Hurst needs time to get his ideas across and for the team to gel, which is personally what I hope is the case, but there are several worrying signs that Hurst is struggling to adapt to Championship football. Maybe Westy's tone puts some people off on here, but to suggest that a long-term poster on this forum, and arguably the most active poster on this site for the past half a decade, is somehow taking delight in the poor form of our club and hoping for failure is something I do not believe and would find insulting if the same allegation was aimed at me.

Massively correct, I take no joy in how we're doing.

Make no mistakes, I was sad when Mick went - but it was time he did. He'd dug himself a grave. As a poster, I supported Mick 100% the entire time.

Jewell I think was pre me on here, Keane I wasn't Keane on but of course I wanted it to click.

I still want it to click with Hurst - however if you look at my pile before there's just too much wrong about now in my opinion. Loads more rumours doing the round on TWTD which sound grim - but that's all I can say they are. Some may have truth, some may not.

But right now, with this season coupled with the back end of last - 2 wins in 21. It's a joke.

Until we win and get moving, I'm struggling this season. I don't think we've got goals in us. The defensive unit I will give Hurst credit for. Seems reasonable. We're not shipping tonnes.

We badly need to beat Brum. It's a big week coming, Brum / Boro / Swansea. 9/9 would be fantastic, and would give me something to cheer. Heck, even 4/9 would be great. But we need a win, A S A P.

I don't think this squad has got much about it to go marching up the table or even hit 15th.

I think, right now our ceiling is about 19th, lowest we could finish - 24th.

But we'll see as more goes - wanted to lay my cards down on the table early. I'm embarrassed by this season to date. It's a shocker.

Dearest Westy. The trouble is that 90% of what you post is absolute bollocks.

If you admire Bobby Robson, if you admire Brian Clough, if you admire Jose Mourinho, if you admire Pep Guardiola - all of them have been publicly critical of players when they fall short - so it's a shame you had it in for this manager before he even took to the dugout at Portman Road.

Every week you say we must win this next game, every week we don't and the world doesn't end. Our ceiling this season is not 19th, it's top half. Our ceiling for the end of October is probably around 18th or 19th. October. Not May. October. If you believe we can only finish 19th because the manager criticised some rubbish players then no wonder you're in a panic.

Then every now and again you post a sentence of sense. The defence is OK and we are not creating enough or scoring enough. So guess what? If Hurst can pick up a win or two and then fix that over the next couple of months (not the next game or the one after that) then we can finish higher than 19th. Isn't that amazing?

That's a bit rich coming from someone who feels our views are influenced by bookmakers, comparing our strikers to Linekar, our form to Tottenham, and threatning to leave akin to a child not long ago. So if I talk 90% rubbish sure, you're very much a 100% specialist in this field..........

Oh massively - and you've a point on Bobby. Shocking start. Could have gone, worked out well. My hunch, is Hurst's done here. I've read too much and come to my own conclusion he's out of depth - happy to be proved wrong Yorkie. He's welcome to do that. Ah, but they've managed at that level and have the respect of the world. A little different I'd say - but sure go on I'll give you a point on that one too. Why not. It CAN work, sure. ( usually doesn't ) but okay. Sure.

Well I'm not happy with being winless, so I would say Hurst needs a win A S A P. For goodness sake, we couldn't even beat 10 man Bolton at home. Gifthorse in the mouth. But no, he couldn't even do that. Goes and brings on a player just back from injury and he goes and gets injured. Considering Hurst is waxing lyrical about how fit you need to be, how important fitness is - he goes and makes that ' decision ' .

The defence appears decent - 12 goals conceded in 9 isn't bad. A first clean sheet, needed.

So what you say for not creating much / scoring enough? That's your attitude to us going forward.....? ' so what ' .....????? We need to improve in that area! It desperately needs improving! Hopefully it can start v Brum!?

Hey ho, off to Brum the towen go.

Well, our views are influenced by everything we see and hear. That's the nature of human beings and why the advertising industry exists.

When whoever was bashing Jackson for not scoring in a match I said Jackson's goalscoring ratio was the same as Lineker's, which it was at that point (and would be ahead had he not been hauled down and scored Saturday).

And I didn't compare our form to Spurs. I said they lost three games. Which they did.

I was talking only about your reasoning for being anti-Hurst before a ball had been kicked, which you said was because he criticised players in pre-season, and I've pointed out lots of top managers do the same.

Such baseless, headless chicken rubbish I don't even know how to respond to this.

    Excellent

Yes it does. But these things take time. You can't fix everything in a team in one week. You improve one thing at the expense of taking the focus off something else, so don't expect a perfect performance against Birmingham.

Oh absolutely won't be perfect v Brum, but an improvement and I feel 3 points would be needed given 0 win in 9.

However, it's an away day and a draw would be acceptable - provided we beat Boro home next time out.

We need to get rocking and a rolling. Lets hope it starts Saturday.

What? Please tell me you are on something? Borough are amongst the few very best sides in the division. Genius.

Like everyone else with any sense Spanish, you agree he did a good job in keeping us up and then should have moved on the season after when it was clear we were going nowhere right?

To be fair Yorkie, Westy is talking statistically. 4 points from the next two is really what's needed to jump start our season into life. 2 from 2 bearing in mind away day and calibre of side coming to PR I think wouldn't be horrific but the run would stretch on and a win will become harder to find and confidence would dip lower. Having said that I promise now if we only get 2 from 2 I will drum the unbeaten run line.

Mike I don't give a monkeys about the next two games as long as we are out of the drop zone after game number 15. Picking up points against Brum will help to do that but we really don't need to get anything against Borough. The target is to stay in the division this season, not make the play offs.

Statistically I think we need zero points from the next two games to kickstart our season with a win in October.

Well if we don't beat Brum away, and then fail to beat Boro at H......... that wouldn't be very good no !?

If we beat Brum, then sure the pressures off v Boro!

That would be my logic anyway.

Weirdly, you've taken my comment better than you've taken a lot else so hats off to you haha!

    You still in Spain?

You're becoming very entrenched in your position, Yorkie. I dont understand how you can write off the importance of the next two games. We need a confidence shot badly. For the fans management and players. The next game is always the next important, we could theoretically win our first game on Boxing Day and still make the playoffs but it becomes all the more improbable.
