You'll have read this I'm sure and who could blame Lille for being upset...... if that's the word http://www.metro.co.uk/sport/oddbal...-park-airport-chase-to-stop-arsenal-transfer? I'm sure Arsene will try to smooth things over with them. It is after all in all our interests since you never know who you'll need in future and we may certainly have need of Eden Hazard. The whole episode is really quite comical especially if Lille's officials had to chase down Park. I do think we may have done it in a different way. Would we have got Park though? We could have possibly given Lille Nicklas Bendtner, waive the loan fee and even give them a million or thereabouts for the inconvenience. What do you think pals?
I don't think Wenger will ever pay the required amount of money to get Hazard so it doesn't really matter.
Surely if Hazard handed in a transfer request there's nothing Lille can do about it? Regardless of how they feel, he will leave anyway.
Good Morning Mr Fiberglass Well you may be right there but I thought he was keen on the man. If one believes everything one reads, we were also looking at Wesley Sneijder... yeah, likely!! Who knows what may change in the future? If Kroenke goes ( I mean, the man is only here so he can get the share price up ) and DD returns with Mr U, then we may be looking at some heavyweights so to speak... Enjoy Poet's Day
lille president gave arsenal a value of 28mil and then said that after this season his value will rise another 5mil so that 33mil, can see a transfer happening for that amount, even if he handed a transfer request
EXACTLY!!! There's not a chance Wenger will buy him, but he might put a ridiculously low bid in like he did with Cahill! Surprised that nobody has snapped this guy up this summer to be honest! he looks pure class! the big boys will come in for him next summer! Man City, Real, Barca!!
Couldn't agree more. It's a shame to lose out like that but if we have a change of ownership, who knows...
well its been said wenger put in a 35mil bid gotze, why wouldnt he bid 30 for hazard he been after him for 2-3 years and if a bid of 25mil(reported) had been accepted he would of came
And if he hands in a transfer request - Barca/RM/Man City/Chelsea/Bayern/Inter and others will all get interested and then we really will not have a hope in hell of signing him. Also - http://www.caughtoffside.com/2011/0...and-record-breaking-28m-playmaker-in-january/ So there you go for every web link you show me that they will be too pissed off to sell to us i am sure I can find one that says we will get him it is all conjecture until he actually goes somewhere
I think Wenger should look to smooth things over with Lille. They could have offered Campbell or another one of our players for a loan on favourable terms. Even as an Arsenal fan i find poaching park from them in bad taste.
According to Pool fans Lille have given them first refusal on Hazard as part of the Joe Cole Deal, so I guess king Kenny will pay whatever they ask and he will be a pool player next season.
Lille are mad with Arsenal sure, but what exactly did Arsenal do wrong? He phoned Monaco, told them they'd match Lille's bid, and then it's up to the player. The player chose to leave, he could have stayed. A transfer isn't complete until the contract is signed. Look at Barton - completed his medicals and was still hoping til the last minute a bigger club would come in for him.
You are technically right but we have good relations with Lille so should be careful of their feelings
And good morning to you too. I imagine we are keen on him but that doesn't mean Wenger will spend what he will be worth in the market. His contract runs out in the next few years I have heard so he may be cheaper than normal but with the likes of Real Madrid and (inevitably) Man city interested he will probably cost £40 million +. I'm not so sure Kroenke will be leaving so easily and I would rather we went in to administration than get Usmanov as our owner by the way. Not sure how anyone could want someone like him in charge of our club.
