No I didn't but his grandad did and it was around 3 yrs ago when we had an atrocious run following Birmingham. He turned round to his gran and said ' Grandad, Arsenal are rubbish ' What could his poor grandad say? We all laughed then but it seems there ain't no going back..... But wait for this - he's been training at Chelsea's ground during the hols and they really like him.......so his Godfather is thinking where there's a will, there's a way Thank you for your kind words. He is extremely intelligent and thoughtful with the most amazing school report highlighting those traits. Well as you can imagine I am a proud Godfather. One thing if I may... while Kenny is king Arsene is the Third Coming Cheerio 4 now
RvB Take heart, I was a similar disappointment to my dad and uncle. They were Evertonians and I was brought up near Goodison. This was in the sixties when the blues were dominant. Something made me go to the other side and the rest, as they say, is history. Perhaps your godson knows something that you are, understandably, reluctant to contemplate?
Thank you for your kind words St Anton but err.... no pal, I am perfectly happy in the knowledge that in the history of the EPL, there is that team from the NW that's a little east of you and then, there's us Best wishes for the fourth spot. We'll look out from the third place berth and wave. please log in to view this image
Even if Chelsea have a poor season. Who is going to knock them out of the top 4? Arsenal and Totters have had a dreadfull start- although I suspect they'll both rebound a little- I think its hard to say they'll be a major threat unless Chelsea really do terrible. So if not them who are the other suspects? Everton and Villa usually- and I don't think either of those teams are as strong as they have been in the past. Sunderland or Castle? Unfortunately this season looks like it could reverse the trend of the table being flattened. I see the Manchester clubs running away with it- quite a gap to us and Chelsea. Then quite a gap to Arse and Spurs. Then quite a gap to Villa, Everton, Sunderland, etc. Obviously still early- but this doesn't have the markings of a close season. Not for the top teams... I think the middle and lower parts of the table will be amazingly close- relegation battle could be amazing.
Agree with Lucas Milk. We are looking good for third or fourth at the mo but along way behind United. Unfortunately. :-(
