I know the transfer season is over...

But in a ideal world who would you like to see leave the club....

    I think...

    - Smith (wage bill, gives away too many fouls, has never really brought much to the game)

    - Perch (quite simply ****ing useless)

    - Shola (i know he has a lot of fans out there for his loyality but 70 goals in something like 300 appearances, missing sitters, losing the ball / falling over the ball etc list goes on...) at best he is a championship striker (starter) or premiership squad player but newcastle insist on playing him all the time which pisses me right off , you see week in week out our fans pick there team for the weekend and its always really good and doesnt include him then every week there he is....shola should never start....i would prefer sammy....

    - Kadar - in all fairness hasnt really had a shot but i think we could sign a much better youngn' to replace him (situ would have been good had he not have went to swansea)

    - Loven - Terrible...he has done a job for us in the past but last season and this season he is ****e...terrible touch, cannot dribble .....any one else want to add anything?

    - Ranger - send him out on loan in january. he scores quite a bit for the reserves its just his bad attitude...hopefully someone can sort him out and he could come back a cracking player which he has the potential to be...(can always hope)

    Demoted to squad players -

Simpson - decent player but i think he personally rates him self a lot better than he actually is....i.e. that time he called Dzeko...the cheek to say that he needs to look at his own game....i think going forward he cannot take people on, cannot cross and he is suspect when people are running at him with his back to goal....

r.taylor - played cracking this season even tho he is out of position and plays well in cup games but his natural position is RW and i think we have too many better players better than him...he does deserve a shot at RB over simpson in my opinion and brings a lot more to the game than simpson.

Am I right in thinking that Xisco is only out on loan? If so I would want to be rid of him and Smith as they are still on huge wages.

Anyone know how long they have left on their contracts?

As for any others leaving, I think that Ranger, Lover and Perch should go in January.

    Ranger, Smith and Xisco

All 3 won't get much playing time (hopefully not for Smith anyway!) and are just a waste of wages.
Perch is cover for a lot of positions and is better than Smith in any position! Kadar could still come good, he's only young and no problems (unlike Ranger), Lover will be needed as back up striker, he can still get a few goals a season which is better than the nothing we'd get without a striker (see Sunderland for half of last season)

    Shola can NEVER leave

lol ok al apologise about kadar...maybe loan him out get more games and (only if we have cover)...forgot about xisco he can go....if we got rid of a lot of them players (which we wont) and replaced them we would have an excellent squad....

i know yous all back shola but am defo disagreeing on that one...i am ****ing sick of him...he has been a problem with newcastle for like 10 years....when teams see his name they laugh

Agree with basically every point made (with possible exception of Kadar), would love to know who you'd have playing at RB instead of Raylor or Simpson though!

Well if them went i was applying they would be replaced (obviously couldnt let all them go we would have a tiny squad)....I also mentioned putting ryan taylor there with santon coming in he doesnt deserve to be dropped but isnt better than our wingers...(altho pardew might stick with taylor at LB and break santon in game by game)...

Simpson isnt ****e he is just fustraiting is at the moment....

yeah i take back my comments about kadar i stand corrected

I would be all for using any money we could get from the sales of Perch, Lovenkrands and Smith to bring in another CB (our weakest position with regards to squad depth). Admittedly that'd be roughly £2.50 and some Halfords vouchers... I actually think Simpson and Raylor will be able to cope well and crucially provide competition for the position at RB this season and apparently Gosling can play there too so there's little chance of another one coming in unless Simpson leaves.

Alan Smith may well be a good and popular pro but, let's face it, he is woeful. He could well bring something to Hartlepool's team, but all he brings to our team is a succession of yellow cards and panic. I'd definitely pay him off.

Perch has shown no quality and looks out of his depth. Sell at the earliest opportunity.

Ranger should never have been given a 5 year contract. I cannot understand that decision at all. Need him out asap (breach of contract?).

Lovenkrands is way past his sell-by date. He's done a decent job for us, though. Simply don't renew contract at end of season.

Poor Xisco. We've really killed his career. Guess he was neither good enough nor mature enough to deal with the storm that he was caught up in through no fault of his own. If we hadn't made him filthy rich, I'd feel sorry for him. Damaged goods that will drift to end of contract eventually.

Occasional free kick aside, Raylor is a poor player (slow, inconsistent positional sense, weak in the tackle). His versatility makes him decent back-up, though.

I like Simpson. I felt this was the season he'd really progress - yet, so far, the opposite seems to be the case. He seems to have been more affected by the comings&goings than any other player. Needs to sort himself out quickly.

Remember his kid was well premature and is still in hospital. He's not fully focused at the moment.

Also, I remember people saying Ranger should start ahead of Carroll in our Championship season and that he was a better player... there is potential there and that's why he got the long deal. He lives up to his potential that's another £20m+ striker to sell...

    All of these

Plus add Guthrie to the list. Some may argue with me but I think he is just a good Championship player and a piss poor Prem one

I personally would play Santon right back and Ferguson at left back. Would also like to see Tavernier come back from his loan and get a chance

Guthrie was our best midfielder the year we went down. Was instrumental in our promotion campaign. Played well when called upon last season apart from one occasion where he was clearly unfit. He should be first back up if either Tiote or Cabaye can't play and he'll be able to challenge for first team football.
