I don't think it's relevant whether Southampton is a 'nice' place to live or for us to be talking about riots etc. The fact is; this is a young man that is very unwell and in a serious condition in hospital so all of our thoughts should be with him and his family at this time.
If this is true (IF) then it what has this got to do with Southampton being a rough place. Again let's wait for the facts.
If anyone's going to recover from a head injury it's Danny Seaborne, that guy has one solid head. Best wishes to him and his family.
I disagree 100%. It can be nice at times , but overall it's a hell hole, and not just beacuse of todays incident.
Just woke up to the terrible news of Dan Seaborne. Get well soon Danny, everyone at Southampton Football Club is behind you and your family at this very difficult time.
Well that's your right. I always feel safe walking around town and have never had any bother. Love the place and if I didn't I'd move.
OMG! This is terrible news, come on Sebo you can get through this. Getwell soon. My thoughts are with you and your family in this dark time. I hope the Police catch up with the guttless scum bag thugs as soon as possible and throw away the key. God damn country is going to hell in a ******* hand cart.
Pompey fan in peace. No one ever wants to read something like this and my thoughts are with his family, friends and the colleagues. Times like this rivalry is thrown out the window and the realisation that this was a terrible incident and I truly hope he makes a full recovery.
Yep, of course most are fine but there are some who think they have the power to do anything. Not speculating on this incident by the way.
Very sad. You give those gorillas a chance and they're a law to themselves. Always have been and nothing's changed I guess. I hope the lad pulls through.
Awful news. I really hope he's okay. Dan is one of our own, and we will all stick by him through this. Thoughts go out to him and his family.
http://t.co/1fuL61E, two guys arrested. Dannys now life threatning but stable condition. Thanks mike cloud.
I have a couple of friends who are "Door Staff" and although they are likable guys, some of them see a punch up as a perk of the job! Add to that the fact you could scrap with a minor celebrity in these parts,it would be appealing for some neanderthals. Dan may or may not have been at fault but that doesn't excuse what has happened. Get well soon Bud.
Agreed Mike. It seems he might have got a pasting from a bouncer. Two in custody. Some things never change...
He was talking to the paramedics and his mate a little which is a good sign? But I couldn't hear very well so couldn't say if he was slurring speach etc.
