I’d like to give an honest appraisal of this. Penalty? No, because it wasn’t given, but in the rules of the game? Probably yes. The problem is that these days, everyone assaults everyone in the penalty area during corners or free kicks. Don’t remember this in the past to this degree, but it’s rife nowadays. Hence, many are overlooked or it would be a farce. To address the supposed hatred, I don’t get this. Seems to stem from years ago when we beat QPR and this prevented them from winning the league, allowing Man U in. Not sure how this was our fault, and not the QPR team for bottling it. I actually went on the QPR forum and said I would have settled for a draw which would have seen them win and Man u losing out, which was ok by me (I was at that game), and I felt they deserved it that year. However, that’s football in a nutshell. I’m reminded of 2011/12 when QPR blew a 2-1 lead at Man City, thus blowing out Man U. Don’t remember United fans bearing a grudge (other than being unhappy with the result), but there you go.
I feel a bit for Jarvis. Saw him play for the U23s and he looked really good for those 23 or so minutes he was on! A player amongst kids, he's no Naismith who was fit and didn't care.
I may have told you this before, if so, apologies, but I used to live on Arthur St at the bottom of Scorer Street so I was about 200 yards from Sincil Bank.

Thanks. Agree re the pen. Hard for the ref to see the wood for the trees. As for hatred, there's only one club I hate as a QPR fan and that is, not Chelsea, but Millwall! Planning on an away trip to yours as neice doing a PhD up there so be kind!
I see Wubba has liked one of my posts, not heard from him for a very long time. Pleased to see he is still around
What is impressive about Pukki is his poise around the box. He doesn't snatch at shots. His clever handling of the ball before crossing for Cantwell's shot shows his ability to wrong foot defenders to make space for a shot or a cross. He's carried on from his three goals in pre-season to score for club and country in six straight matches. What a signing that was!
From Gary's column: http://norwichcity.myfootballwriter...ve-but-a-buoyant-city-make-it-three-in-three/
Connor Southwell's column also raises some interesting points. http://talknorwichcity.com/review/s...ce-again-as-norwich-make-it-three-from-three/
I also like the bit that followed that: "Max Aarons too, to continue the academy theme, was simply brilliant again – and to think this was only his fourth first-team start. That he’s playing with the maturity of a Championship veteran is crazy but also a massive nod to everyone from academy coaches past and present all the way through to Farke and Webber." Cantwell, Lewis and Aarons really do reflect well on the coaching set-up in the Academy. In 46 years of following City I can't remember so many under 20 players come into the first team with such verve and skills. It's amazing and long may it continue!
It must be a record for ANY club and when you add - the Murphy twins, JM and Middleton into the mix it really does say something about our youff coaching set up and of course until recently, Huckerby was coaching the under 17s I think it was and that was evident in Middleton's play. The bonus of this is that if you are an aspiring footballer and looking for a club to join, then you'd certainly consider joining NCFC, the downside (for some posters anyway), is that we have to retain DF as Head Coach!!!
Going back to the penalty "Claim". I have read a few reports and seen the extended highlights - none of them include this "incident", so I am guessing it was not even a little contentious, never mind the "nailed on" remarks that I have seen elsewhere.
Personally I thought it was a penalty that the Ref missed. However these type of fouls happen in every game, maybe 50% of corners. That doesn’t take away from the fact that Norwich bossed the game, created the best chances (although not so many), and deserved the points. I think QPR are a decent enough team, so credit is due.
I only saw the first half (fell asleep at half time and woke up at full time ) so it is hard for me to comment as I did not see the incident. As for QPR being decent...I am not sure what to make of them on what I saw. They seemed to be happy to let us play, sit deep and shut the door, but maybe that is not their normal game, or maybe City hit the ground running and made them sit back in fear, I really do not know
