The problem with Yoshi is, he’s not actually all that great. Whether he’s worse than Hoedt has been this season is another matter, but missing part of the defensive jigsaw he ain’t.
He's been very good in the past alongside a dominant leader and Vestergaard could be another one he works well with. It's bizarre that it hasn't even been tried frankly. Hoedt is awful.
I would say he offers all the attributes to be the missing part of the jigsaw personally. Decent speed with a good tackle. a good covering defender. Basically the opposite of Vestegaard.
He’s a bit rubbish, I’ve always been a bit vocal about how I don’t like him that much, but he is lightyears, ****ing lightyears ahead of Hoedt.
Why do we just endlessly cross the ball with no one on the end of it. A genuine question: how often do we actually score from crosses?
He is good and capable of doing a solid job. He’s proven time and again he can do the job alongside another decent CB. Wes, can’t. I’m suspicious of a Hughes personality thing.
You’re all remembering a different Yoshida from the one I’ve actually spoken up for on here in the past. He’s always given his best, but it’s rarely been enough. He isn’t the answer; Hoedt may not be either, I don’t know. I’m not watching this game anyway...
