Yeah I agree DTLW, but our defence is so slow that if we pressed them they would walk straight through us.
And look at the team we're playing: Long up front, a left back on the wing, three central midfielders. If ever there was a team to press with, it would be this one. I mean, the lack of mobility at the back is an issue playing a high line, but it's also an issue playing a deeper line as it turns out.

Hughes really couldn't do anything right today. Either he sets up like this and gets criticised for being too defensive or we go more attacking and gets stick for being too open.
If we would have gone for a high press today and been smashed 4-0 then everyone would question why we stood toe-to-toe with a far better outfit. Regardless of the selection or tactics we were always likely to get heavily beaten today because liverpool are arguably the best in the league, at home, and we are pretty poor!
