This is how rumours start, like with Grosicki.

He’s just said he’s got to displace a lot of players, that all. He will get his chance.

Reading are there for the taking but Adkins needs to sort out his starting line up...specifically our so called central mid-field and the captaincy. Henriksen is not the answer as a team leader and certainly a weak option as a defensive mid-fielder. While Stewart should be on the bench (at best..at least until Batty is back).

There are signs of progress at the back. Marshall seems to have recovered his confidence and is looking more like his old Cardiff self. Elphick has been an excellent loan and I'd like to see either him or Lichaj get the captains armband tomorrow. With Burke and DeWijs we have a decent back four.

Midfield is the weak link. Henriksen and Stewart should sit out and I'd put Irvine and Evandro in the middle, with Bowen on the right and Kane on the left. Sub Grosicki in on LW after 70. Go two up front with Campbell and Martin to provide speed and strength against the weak Reading defense.

A win and 10 points will take us within striking distance of the top half of the table. Come on City!!!!

Some good points, Irvine would be better choice as captain, he has more drive. I generally like my captain to be a CB but I think we need to see these players over a longer term. I haven't attended a game recently so don't know how Lichaj or Burke perform in the communication department

Is the captain's armband hyped up too much? Can't someone still be a leader without having it.

Of course they can. Managers speak about having leaders all over the park. I'd have Irvine as my choice for captain. Although I wish he wouldn't stop playing to appeal to the ref, he needs to play to the whistle!

Yes they can and do but have we got these types in the City team right now? Despite his deep Scandinavian voice and his height, he's by all accounts distant on the pitch

I had hopes that Meyler would score today and celebrate by revealing a tshirt underneath with the words "Allam out" on it. Shame.

Definitely wouldn't give the armband to Lichaj it would probably fall off due to his very severe shoulder twitch.

He must be injured. Nigel likes Evandro. No sane man would include Stewart instead of Evandro if Evandro was fit.

Still Milinkovic continues to collect a wage for no reason.

Milinkovic and MacDonald are two of the strangest signings I can remember.

MacDonald publicly criticised by the manager more than once (a player signed under him). Milinkovic can’t even make the bench in the weakest of weak as piss sides I can remember.

    Mental.
