https://www.chelseafc.com/en/news/2018/9/19/travellers-to-thessaloniki Except Hazard, Emerson & Luiz everyone else have traveled. Disappointed Emerson didn't go either. He has any injury?? Hope our first 11 appear as subs only. B team should be good enough. would have preferred if Kante, Jorginho, Alonso, Azpi, Giroud were left behind.
Do we think any of the first 11 will start? Perhaps Alonso if Emerson has been left behind? And maybe 1 from Morata / Giroud. Probably the one that won't get picked for the weekend game.
No harm in taking them, just in case. Morata will likely start, as he didnt start against Cardiff. As long as Hazard, Kante, Jorginho, Luiz etc dont start i will be fine.
Jetlag and missing routines are the biggest hurdles during Europe tours. Effects will cascade to Sunday usually.
Stronger line up than I expected. Kepa Zappacosta Christensen Rudi Alonso Kante Jorg Barkley Pedro Morata Willian
not happy that sarri is taking this so seriously so early. Maybe he wants them to bed in his style more? @Chelsea Pensioner is going to be upset that Odoi and RLC and Ampadu aren't getting an opportunity. I am myself tbh. These are exactly the sort of games they should be getting opportunities.
But we have another game away from home on Sunday, and any XI we put out should be enough to beat FC Whoeverthefuckweareplaying. And even if it aint, I really couldn't give a **** about the Europa League, even if we lost. Priority has to be the PL. If he rests any of those three on Sunday and we dont pick up three points I am going to be pissed.
pretty much what conte did last season when i got pissed with him when he played a strong 11 against Atletico. I'm not sure why he's done this, i know in the latter parts of the europy with Napoli he basically played a B team. no idea whats got into Sarris head
I really thought that Sarri's style would suit Morata.....and he is getting lots of chances under Sarri, chance after chance comes to him and he keeps ****ing them up, cant hit a cows arse with a banjo. The guy needs 15 chances to stick one away, and we paid £70m for him
You hated Torres?!? As a scorer of probably of one of the most epic and significant goals in our history I can only love the guy!
Odd team selection last night of course. I would have thought you'd get more of a tune out of players on the fringes trying to make a mark than established players playing against weaker opposition. Could have easily played Ampadu instead of Jorginho for example. Oh well, I guess his theory is qualify quickly then rest players. Watch us drop points at West Ham on sunday though.....
Let´s have the banners out on European nights telling Mrs May to F*** Brexit. After all, football supporters in Liverpool, Manchester, London, Leeds, Nottingham, Newcastle all voted to remain.
I dunno. We backed him and sung his name through thick and thin, but he was a big self-indulgent mess at Chelsea. Cost three or so managers their jobs too. Probably would have won the title 13.14 if he hadn't been so ****e! Even in the build up to that goal in Nou Camp, didn't he give the ball away? And we would have progressed anyway?
We'd have only progressed if Barca didn't score again and as someone who was at the game where Iniesta scored that late goal in 09 to knock us out, I was taking nothing for granted until Torres all but confirmed the result Torres struggled badly of course but was a real trier and I like that in a player. He also won the corner for Drogbas equaliser in the final, scored in the Europa league final and scored a load of goals in the lead up to the final as well. He was pretty **** in the league of course but he had his moments during his time with us and still seems to follow our results by all accounts. I also think we never really set up to compliment him. I remember so many times, Petr Cech punting long passes up to him as if he was Drogba. Which of course he wasn't. Totally different footballers.
