Didn't say I liked them, more that I prefer them to the others. I wouldn't 'like' to catch chlamydia but I'd prefer it to the likes of herpes and gonorrhoea.
Here's another confession. I'm off to the Emirates in a couple of hours. Mate had a spare ticket. I feel a bit dirty tbh. Might be waiting a while for the next European night at St Marys though.
When we were in our downward spiral to league one I looked into trying to get tickets for the emirates for a European match as a Southampton visit seemed so far away at the time. Had to pay £30 membership on top of the ticket so didn’t bother, luckily only had to wait a few more seasons before I saw Danny Fox bang one in there
A night of football at a good venue without the Saints pressure. Sounds perfect to me, have a great night!
I've now been to two games this week, and seen 9 goals in total. So why am I still depressed about football?
Because supporting Saints is like a metaphor for the vast majority of ordinary people living in the current capitalist system. it's a stitch up because the rich get richer and money makes more money and you need a hell of a lot of luck to join them at the top.
Well the lid is off now! 1-1 draw in youth cup 1/4 final v Watford at Fratton. A famous keeper in this photo, on the rare occasion I actually jumped to try and head a ball....
