**** should focus on his own teams shortcomings on the park. The irony is that this helps deflect from his club not strengthening in the transfer window much like the smoke and mirrors over Jelavic deflecting from the absence of the '£15 million warchest'.
We actually brought in five new players including a £2m+ striker. In terms of net spend we spent about the same as you (not exactly a boast mind) but the difference is our Chairman wasn't dropping big hints to the media about warchests.
The fact of the matter is simple, if we got into the CL we'd have spent more, if we got into the EL we'd have spent more, no Europe = no lavish outlays, FFS the last time we did a big spend after getting humped out of Europe, we ended up with a Lloyds memeber on the board. I prefer this more frugile regime after the waste of the SDM years. We only spend what we earn, the days of the SPL sugar daddy's are over.
Well said It can be frustrating, but there is no point in overspending when the squad we still have the majority of the squad that has walked the last 3 titles. Add in a few extra players, and I think we should win it again this season. We only really lost Bougherra from our first 11, but replaced him with Goian who looks better defensively. Hopefully Bocanegra signals the end of David Weir playing every week. I would say Rangers are in a better position now, than we were last season.
Rangers fans are wee sensitive souls ... It was a joke, albeit it probably shouldn't be coming from the Chief Executive! However, was Lawell not friends with a few of the ousted board members at Ibrox (Johnson in particular I believe), so maybe it was a wee dig at the new regime/sticking up for a mate!
Totally agree - the £15 million figure was surely based on CL qualification but listening to the trumpets on Clyde 1 then Whyte must go now. ****ing mental. What was done was to give new contracts to McGregor, Davis and whittaker and to keep Jelavic. He's done better than I expected as I thought at least one from Mcgregor, davis or Jelavic would have to be sold.
- N'Guemo used to listen to sellic on the radio through the glory days when he was a boy in Cameroon. Eh, this period was the early to mid 90's when sellic were making 4th and 5th position their own and I'd love to know what type of radio he had since you can still barely get 810MW down in Yorkshire - We canny extend the league cos we're away to Japan for a post season tour. Aye, right you are Pedro. - Juarez (remember him, Samaras' boyfriend) is wanted by Arsenal for £9m. Whatever happened to that bloke? Is he still getting fingered by a ladyboy? - Ki is worth £10m - Boruc is worth £15m He was sold for little over £1m - The stadium is full every home game and there are usually thousands waiting outside. Nice one Peter, keep up the comedy show. Trying to chin us for the Jelavic story is like John Reid giving someone a lecture on humanity.
Head in the sand about what? Jelavic is easily the best forward in the SPL so its not beyond reason to expect a late £9m bid from the Premiership. Even if it isn't true (as claimed by Peter Griffin's chinese cousin) then what is there to worry about? Usual tarriers lapping up everything the fat stroker says. Now who is the deflector, ya wee fat hoor.
Do you feel you have to try harder, frank, with you being a Catholic, to appease the huns? Just asking likes. Oh, loved the fat hoor jibe.
Not really, contrary to popular belief religion isn't a factor in football. Despite many within the bheggar support wishing it was.
There's a big difference here Frank. The Daily Record ran that report, not Celtic. The story about Jelavic appeared on the Rangers FC website.
The only story on the Rangers website about a bid for Jelavic is the one that was rejected from Leicester.
