You leaked just a little there at the thought of a new bumchum didn't you, before you cottoned he's just a wum. You really are a creepy little lost soul ACS
Did you not see the irony in Chippys post as it flew straight over your head then Your 'infiltrator' was identified as a thick as **** wummer within a few posts ................... and nearly three weeks ago ................... keep up at the back
Come on Daztoc, Chippy isn't capable of irony, you know that. This new guy isn't a mackem either, just a wum.
How I miss a bit of absolute mayhem because one Newcastle fan posts something on the Sunderland board and vice versa, but now we can't even be bothered to bite. Maybe we've all grown up... Nahhhhhh Howay we need to start it up again
Absolutely, when there used to be something to get worked up over... Now we're all apathetic *****s just waiting for the next disaster to happen to our respective clubs... Like Amir Khan just waiting for that one punch to the chin
You seem agitated fella. Pressure getting to you? You need to re read my post and look a little deeper.....
While this thread is back near the top..... I'm going to admit it could be worse for us bar for Rafa and his defensive tactics vs Chelsea and City. (No ACS I'm not bending a knee) You look at City and Chelseas results so far City beat: huddersfield 6-1, fulham 3-0, Arsenal 2-0, us 2-1 and drew with Wolves 1-1 (also beat chelsea 2-0 in the Community Shield) Chelsea beat: arsenal 3-2, huddersfield 3-0, bournemouth 2-0, cardiff 4-1 and us 2-1. If it comes down to goal difference at the end of the year these kind of close defeats could be priceless when considering Huddersfield are 6 goals worse off from those games vs two teams than ourselves.... No Rafa put it back in your pants!!! Edit also for point of Reference re City's onyl dropped points thus far vs Wolves - those stats though!!! Possesion especialyl is comparable. Vs Wolves https://www.google.co.uk/search?q=man city results&rlz=1C1CHFX_en-GBGB536GB536&oq=man cuty res&aqs=chrome.1.69i57j0l5.8599j1j7&sourceid=chrome&ie=UTF-8#sie=m;/g/11ghv9x0_d;2;/m/02_tc;dt;fp;1 Vs NUFC https://www.google.co.uk/search?q=m...=UTF-8#sie=m;/g/11g0nf_1b4;2;/m/02_tc;dt;fp;1
Nevermind the debate about player selections and tactics game to game, would anyone disagree that if we are still in the Premier League next season then Rafa has done a good job?
What is more impressive, doing well with someone else's squad, or doing well with a worse squad that has been almost entirely bought under your leadership? Just wondering where we think Rafa really ranks vs Hughton. Rafa would certainly have done a good short-term job for the accountant and Ashley's investment if he kept us up again. Not sure future managers are going to benefit very much from the personnel he has brought in. If he had us playing some nice football and we survived, he would have done a good job for everyone. If he has us hemmed in for 80 minutes against West Ham while they pepper our goal, hoping for a lucky break, I will probably give very few ****s when we go down (and I will get a tattoo of captain chaos' face on my face if we don't). We are currently 6 points down on last year. That would drop us from 10th to 15th, and less than 40 points... Not sure where Rafa can make up those points, as we had one of the best records against the top 6 last season, which we knew would be hard to replicate. If anything, I see more opportunities to drop points than improve on last season. I've been told rumours by a highly unreliable sauce that Rafa has lost the dressing room and will be sacked.
If he keeps us in the premier league I would be very surprised given what he has at his disposal but yes he would have done a good job. But then what? He won't sign another contract with us on current prospects (ownership) and terms so it will be a new manager. Next season is going to be strange!
