Just a reflection in the cool light of day, as it is here. We are 1 point better off than last year. Just saying
Great post, spot on for me. The usual acid test comes at 10 games in, ask Eire. This time, we look like the real deal. First game, same team as last year, universal groaning, Bielsa was right (BWR) We come from behind twice to rescue a point at Swansea, BWR. We lose Roofe, Bamford, Berardi and Pablo, come from behind to win a point at Millwall, BWR. We hump the only team to beat us this season 3-0 with fringe players starring like first choice players, BWR. Works for me, and I reckon we'll be there or thereabouts at the 10 game marker. MOT.
Agreeing with Marcos in the main as too many candidates for MOM. Harrison has impressed the hell out of me. Phillips was awesome again and must be player of the season so far. Pontus was huge again and will keep Berardi out if he can up his distribution. Douglas must be frustrated with Alioski and think he will be better with Harrison down the left. Roberts can score goals in this system and hes already scored twice as many as Ekuban did all last season. Saiz another candidate for POS just wish he had a better final ball. Bielsa must be on the radar of Man Utd or some top club
Don't use the word acid, or Narco will get a horn... FFS Davy you and Eire were moaning after 4 minutes.
I really don't think he'd go, unless the money was astronomical. Leeds weren't his only option, they were his chosen option, and there appears to be a real connection now. Time will tell if money talks though.
No, I was worried that we'd become predictable at the back and were easily stopped from playing out, which we were - look at the first 10 minutes again, all their chances came from being closed down in our first third. As soon as the play opened up we were able to play round the attacking press - first 10 they were on top of us immediately.
I’ll just add my comments Haven’t enjoyed watching Leeds like I do now for a long time. They call it Bielsaball but for me it’s also the way the great Revie team played. I noticed the crowd clapped Roberts a number of times when he tried something and failed to get it right - before the goals. Good on them as in my experience they can destroy a young player. I wondered if Sais was deliberately going right as Alioski was having such a bad game?
