5 years is a long time in football over past 3 years say.... Debruyne Kane Silva Azpi De Gea Kante Hazard Like.... What have LFC players done to get on the list ahead of those? I think we could write a list of players over past 3 years who have contributed a lot to LFC getting to europa final, finishing 4th twice and a CL final (winning nothing in other words) My list would be: Milner. Firmino Mane We lost coutinho Mane's purchase was a big deal for us, I think he helped us a lot over and above having lallana on right side of attack. Even last seaosn he was said to have been poor yet still did quite well in terms of stats I would hope that i nthe next 2 years we would have a whole new list. Alisson VVD Keita Salah as example.
I prefer to see it as a team game anyway. Over the years we've always had a smattering of excellent players, for the first time in a long time I think we're approaching a team that's full of them. It says a lot when the weakest link is probably the club captain, and even he is nowhere near as bad as many on here seem to think, imo.
That is a fair point. City provide a platform for silva debruyne and aguero to do thier thing and acheive. same for chelsea. In many ways kante's efforts over 3 years have been spectacular at times. You could i suppose look at guys in the lower half carrying their teams on their backs.... mind you there are not quite so many any more. they all need some team aorund them too. Zaha for example? Our team certainly is much improved across the 11. Thats why i won't write off cheslea (unlike astro) as thier first 11 is packed with absolute brilliant players
Chelsea's #joke defence is built around Luiz They haven't played any proper teams and even a crap Arsenal was unlucky not to put 5 past them Chelsea's only hope is that Hazard scores more than the opponents, and that is not sustainable over a season
Why Liverpool's upcoming run of games could define their season Hectic period culminates in their clash with Manchester City https://www.skysports.com/football/...coming-run-of-games-could-define-their-season
New GK Great RB Not bad LB (better LWB i think) CB: rudiger suits prem.... CMS great pair of CMS in kante and jorginho 3rd cm: kovaicic or fabregas... not too shabby LW hazard RW pedro or willian CF: morata (absolute lovely player) s.. yeah you go right aehad and fixate on one player out of the first 11. Cheslea have a very very good first 11. now they do have ross barkely and danny drinkwater so thats a problem but seriously.... that team with that new manager will be good.
Fabregas is finished, Barkley and Giroud are their only options from the bench, CMs are wasted filling the gaps of the CBs
LFC options. sturridge. Bobby might say he's finished too? Shaqiri... hmmm.. Fabinho henderson.... c'mon! upfront they have pedro and willian depending on who starts and giroud. In midfield they have several options. I hesitate to say kovacic in first 11 but tey have lots of players to come on. In defence they have loads and loads of players, none up to the top level but they have the cover. like.... sorry but they have a good first 11 and a manager with a clear plan. BTW i've not said they will challenge in the end for title but they will be competitive.
Chelsea have always had the players to be competitive. Trouble is attitude and can they be bothered to play for the manager. In this day and age I find it disgusting players can do that to clubs and managers and get away with it. Not just chelsea who have that problem although they do have a lot of bigger egos.
Hazard has the ability to be the best when he's in the right frame of mind. I'd not want him in my team though because when he's not in the right frame of mind, he destroys the entire team!
Can't remember where this was last posted but the council have now agreed plans for Anfield to host six music events a year, having knocked it back a month ago.
