Well the rise in admin costs definitely hasn’t been sparked by wages in the club’s admin team. That is a shoestring operation.
The Allams have now taken £21m in interest payments on their 'gift', in addition to using group losses to avoid paying any tax on the profits of Allam Marine (I make those profits roughly £60m during the period they've owned the club). There's also the mysterious trebling of the admin costs from £3m a year in 2013, to £9.4m last year) all of which means they're not far off having had back all the money they put in, while still being owed it all. Nice work if you can get it.
But remember we've got to give them a big pat on the back for their selfless spending on the academy...
Im no accountancy expert and tbh dont really understand a lot of this .. but one glaring thing is the reduction of staff .. both playing and none playing staff .. cost cutting all round the club yet they still post admin costs as being increased. In this so called day of transparency is there not a body that challenges such reports ? Asking them to explain these so called numbers. More so given the fit and proper test for owners .. is this not an ongoing matter or is it just to ascertain if they have the funds to purchase said club which arent illegal. To me this has all the similarities of the Oyston affair .. an owner embezzling funds while allegedly looking after the so called best interests of the club.
That's how it started on the other thread. I can't stand how they get credit for little things all over the place. Some people are so quick to credit them and contrastingly have taken so long to condemn them when deserved, which is pretty much always.
