Well... we played absolute dogshit. Brandon Austin was our standout player, made a really good save from the penalty spot along with one or two decent bits of work, Oli Skipp was the only outfield player who looked like he knew how to play at the required standard for the club. I get a lot of lads have left on loan but it was a real toothless performance from us, we only came alive in added time and surprise, surprise, we got a goal from it, shame we didn’t turn up for the other 92 mins. Fun atmosphere though, I think we outnumbered the home crowd which says a lot about how they support their youths. Kazaiah Sterling was in the crowd with us watching, one of the lads joked that we get a pic with him, in the end we actually did, eight 27-28 year olds crowded around the lad for a pic, not sure if he liked the attention or thought “what a bunch of sad ****s”
Yea we was absolutely awful. No creativity at all and our defence were so bad even though they had no protection in front. Paris is so over hyped because he can use his bigger size in the U18s but it doesn’t work in the U23s. Parrott was so isolated yet he still chased down anything and everything although the red was silly. On that note if Paris had pushed me like he did parrott I’d have knocked him out there and then.
Why do they keep having these ties when most of the decent youth players will be off on international duty at some level? Defeats the whole object of the tournament as it is now, doesn't it?
Spurs Stat Man's provided a pretty comprehensive report on our academy results for August https://www.spursstatman.com/articles/09/05/tottenham-hotspur-youth-update-august-2018
...and as with everything else Spurs-related, it can be tied in to an example of Harry Hotspur acting like a clueless ****wit with anger issues
Which of them is most likely to score a hat-trick when our GK is sent off and we are 4-0 down by HT ...
The real question is which one will score a hat trick then have to go in goal when our GK gets sent off
Terrible challenge by Parrott. That's really a red card and probably motivated by the elbow to Maghoma [actually it was Eyoma]. Lucky just to get yellow.
0-1 courtesy of an Inter counter attack, of which there have been a few. A bit like Saturday at Wembley, we've had plenty of the ball but very little to show for it. They've had a number of good chances.
