Good morn'in all. Blue skies here. But we'll have to give it an hour or so before we judge how hot it is going to be. Good south coast battle tonight. I guess a draw would suit us. Every draw between others is a point thrown away Enjoy
Morning all. Blue skies and not a breathe of wind here. The big news in these rural parts is how a combine harvester managed to reverse into a steel cable, bringing down a 100 metre test mast that was there to gather information about wind speed. The main concern was how lucky the driver was who had this mass of tangled metal all around his cab, but was not injured. The fact that it was not wanted did suggest that it could have been deliberate, but no one interviewed was sorry to see it disappear from the landscape, although I expect a new one will arrive in time.
A good ratatouille traditionally has peppers, aubergines and courgettes. Seems a bit of an odd one OFH. You can normally do windspeed attaching the guage to radio masts. And from what you say this is no small device. Are you sure it is not something else ?????? Maybe it is a Marie Le Penn supporters tracker?? I love a good conspiracy story Well today ratatouille which I guess goes down well with you OFH. ps Dave that Reading vs Norwich on Wed looks a good 3 point chance if Pukki stays on fire.
Because I live in an area that has the lowest recorded amount of wind in the country, not much curry is eaten here, there are no radio masts tall enough to gather data, hence the 100 meter high test rigs. They are an attempt to prove that there is enough wind for turbines, although figures show that there is little point in putting them here. Only 6% of the countries power needs come from turbines and solar added together, so there could be more, but for companies to rely on subsidies from non productive turbines is not very clever. The minister in charge of such things resigned when it was suggested that there was a better return from putting them out at sea. Now I might ask why he wanted to keep the existing system.
Yorkie hope it all went well. If it gets you down just keep thinking 12 points after 5, 12 points after 5, douze apréz cinq, douze apréz cinq, Thinking about it that probably won't help but all the best . ps forget the pint
Hello lovely people, I'm home at last .They wouldn't let me go until I had passed enough urine, I reckon they were taking the pi..... I'm off to bed now, Night all Night H
Good morning all. Well already sorted my student's CV so she can troll the streets of Brisbane looking for a part-time job. Just hope she gets lucky as Brisbane is turning out to be more expensive than she thought. And looks like a similar day here in Cadiz to that in Brisbane, hot and sticky. The sooner this Levante (wind off the desert) stops the better. But looking at the world we cannot complain. Well a busy day for me, but lots of small things. I'd prefer something meaty, but c'est la vie. Enjoy one and all.
Morning all. Wispy bits of cloud coming up from the south on a light breeze. Both of my forecasts are saying that we will see some rain during the day, they seldom agree, so we will live in hope. I had intended to ferry some water from the house down to the fields as while I am away my daughter will try and keep things growing. Think I might reorganise my plans and see just what we do get.
Surely a big compliment to the 'orns "Did you know? David de Gea saved four of Watford's five shots on target, as many saves as in his previous three Premier League matches combined." Curtesy of the BBC
Dave the big match tonight. Is it ManC or ManU? No it's Norwich picking up 3 points in Reading. Just hope we get a stream. I predict 1-2 to the Canaries Here a bit cooler. Blue skies but less wind off the Sahara. Hope you're mending well Yorkie.
