Bishop Burton, it was one of the many things was planned in the fall out of 'moving into the Airco' and then out / moving up to Bishop Burton and this improving academy status ( and first team / juniors) facilities / training for bad weather / winter ~ probably something about on the net if i could be bothered to look
The academy & juniors have training facilities 100x better now then they ever have thanks to investement from the owners, they are ****s of the highest order but they have made the youth set up light years ahead of where it was
Two from the youth set up right now in the first team in the championship as regular starters. When did we last have that stattos?
We haven't that I can remember, Bradshaw and peat made the odd appearance but that's probably it Clark/bowan last season also. Plus the McKenzie on the bench this season. The academy, yes helped by lack of money spent on first team players, is really in the best place it's ever been
Cairney you can't really count imo...he was at Leeds till 16 when they released him (suppose you could say the same about Bowen) cooper I'll give you as he was just unlucky with us with who was Infront of him...Cullen I'd so no as he's never really set the world alight, is he still playing in the league? I don't think anyone can knock the Allams and what they have done for the academy set up since they have been here. It's the one and only good thing they have done
As others said, in division above and this: Cooper, Cairney, Devitt - but how regular where they? But in answer to your question, in this division, I was thinking of the days of Payton, Buckley, Saville, Nicky Brown
Did anyone else go see Tim at city hall for the " Do bears **** in the woods evening " Great night even though it all turned out to be bullshit.
So to recap, the Allams are fantastic for youth development because we have two youth players in the first team, one of which we signed from elsewhere, which is the most we've had since just before the Allams were here, when we also had two in the first team, one of which was signed from elsewhere. What's the actual investment in the youth team anyone? They get a lot of credit for it so what's the figure? And how much is offset by the increased funding it brings in?
