I think we might find on Tuesday that Windass junior is a lot better than him

Could have been three up in the first twenty minutes and put the game to bed. Of course Ipswich rallied a bit and got a bit more physical, helped by a very lenient referee. Result never in doubt and a welcome clean sheet. Saw Ken Wagstaff with his family take his seat in the West Stand before the game and no-one noticed him.
Nice touch for me was seeing Henrickson's little lad in a City shirt, looked about 3, climb over the perimeter fence then scaled the advertising hoarding which was bigger then him and run onto the pitch to his dad at then end. He even applauded the North Stand.

Maybe Bruce feels for us (fans) and sent us a helping hand.

It sounded not the best game in the world, basically, Ipswich are **** and we are less so. Good to hear Elphick looks good and that Jordy had a reasonable game. Unlike Chazz HDM thought Batty had a really good game up to him having to go off injured. Campbell should be playing with Martin up top IMO.

I actually think you’re spot on. I haven’t seen a team as bad as Ipswich for a long time. Totally dreadful.

The fact we made hard work of beating them highlights that we’re no great shakes either.

I don't think we made hard work of it, we had plenty of chances to finish it off...Bowen along with others just couldn't finish their chances, if we struggled to control the game and make chances then I'd be more worried. We are coming upto 10 games in and where we sit after 10 is always a good indication of the season we will have

We looked comfortable I never felt at any point that it would slip away from us.
Elphick made a huge difference and Campbell was outstanding though his continued lack of putting the ball in the onion box is a concern.
If Adkins sticks with one up top I'm not sure if Martin's agreement to join us means him sitting on the bench be interesting to see what Adkins does.
We followed a good performance against Derby with a win I have a feeling this week we will have plenty of smiles on our faces

Said it on a previous post. Nige has to find a system for Campbell and Martin to play together.

It's a tasty sounding partnership. The question then is where do Evandro and Bowen fit in.

Hope Batty not too bad, 2 away games with Stewart and Henriksen in the engine room will not end well

Drop Evandro back and start Martin and Campbell up front together. Stick Kane in the middle, Lichaj will be back next game. Stick Irvine in the middle, he’s a good all rounder.

Give me an hour and I’ll come up with another twenty variations that avoid Stewart playing. <laugh>

Stewart is one of our worst ever signings. He makes Simon Walton look good.
