    Look at it this way.

    Our midfield is weaker.YES

But Our defence is stronger as are our options up-front.

So we've lost Fabregas and Nasri. Both are great players (particularly Cesc) but we may actually start to be a little more direct with our style of play now. (something most gooners have wanted for a while)
Also I'm expecting big things from Wilshere once he returns the kid is possibly the best English talent of the last 20 yrs. If anyone is capable of replacing Fabregas its him.

We need to ease the pressure on Wilshire a bit, Michael Owen was better at his age and look what happened to him.

Did you see us last year without cesc and nasri? Vs leeds, huddesfield, orient, wigan etc. Did you see us without them vs manure this year? We are screwed. Wenger got good value in the market, but he didnt buy enough. We came 4th last year. We needed to improve. But instead we have got worse. We lack ambition and fans shouldnt accept it.

I've got a funny feeling, that we're all born to lose. And I've got a funny feeling that this life ain't worth living.

To be fair that seems to be a one off result. We were ****e all year when they both didn't play for us.

Yeah we beat United. As for those games against Leeds and co. Well Wilshere,Van Persie,Ramsey,Walcott and TV never played in them. Also those games as a whole had a feeling of a reserve game because of the sheer amount of changes we made. Have we improved? Clearly not. But what can we do against the three teams that will go for the title when they pay the wages they do compared to us? Its impossible. Wenger did well to compete against them with Fabregas but he was a one off. And in the end wanted to go and we could nothing about it. 4th is the most important right now. We need to keep going like this until the climate in football changes.

Thats because we had them in the side last year. Therefore the players got used to playing and looking for those players on the pitch. Now they have gone and new players have come in we change and adjust.

Nothing to do with them two, it was a freak result, if we played you the weeke before we probably would have won 1-0 get over it

Not really a freak result. You got outplayed from the start to the end. Song snuffed out Rooney with ease.

At last a major overhaul of the squad - and its only a start.
We must get behind the team and NEVER boo.
If we can settle down and make progress on the pitch, then perhaps strengthen in January.
A new beginning after a dire several years. COME ON ARSENAL.

On paper it would show that we have made improvements in certain areas, but this just remains paper talk until we start playing. Remember, the players have yet to bed in and play as a team unit and with our dreadful start to the season, they will need to hit the ground running.

The signing have been good and i am quite optimistic. I think buying both Arteta and Benny was important. I think with both we will see injuries but what we have is some depth now. So rotating Arteta, Benny, Wilshere, Song, Ramsey, Frimpong and Rosicky will enable us to challenge for a trophy.
