I was surprised that Shaq didn’t come on tbh. Sturridge is not combative at all.

He was off balance (falling and twisting) but you think he somehow directed his hand (on his wrong side) at Bobby's face despite Bobby behind him too? <laugh>

Intentionally grabbing a player ist prevent them going any further is a yellow card offence btw

He used his experience well though and bought a couple of fouls slowed the game game down and gave us possession.

Agree that he did that a couple of times. His closing down was awful though.

Klopp made terrible changes in general. Shaqiri would have run riot, how many chances we created towards the end, he would have been all over them. Instead we had Mané and Salah fluffing it.

The Matip for Trent one was awful, it's why we conceded imo.

Still regardless of that we dominated that game and deserved to win

On a side note, how sh!t is Dier. Henderson isn't great and gets mocked by rival fans, but Dier is another level of mediocrity.

Yeah there was a couple of occasions he could have made more of an effort to get the ball back but overall he was useful when he came on.

Strange time to make such a claim. He’s been poor in that role for a while.

My only criticism of Studge yesterday would be turning his back on Lamela's shot...........

It should have been but we were poor. I don't get Klopps "best performance of the season" comment, we were terrible offensively.

In a way I disagree. Some have said we were poor in the final third, but it was our finishing and decision making in the box that should have
been better. That Spurs side were ripped to pieces yesterday and its not an exaggeration to say we could/should have scored 5 or 6 (or more?)
The overall performance WAS our best so far this season

Bad decision making and finishing means we were poor offensively.

What you just said it's like saying we were good defensively bar the five goals we conceded. Doesn't work does it?

I dunno about best. maybe so but it is very fair to say 5 or 6.

Salah effort. that should have been in. really poor finish.
mane effort. all a fired high and easy for keeper.
mane pass to Keita delayed and kieta also fired high.

thats 5 clear goals that should have been.

windy ****ed up on his second chance shortly after goal.

there's a few others as well.

imo spurs tried to pack midfield but didnt press up on our back line at all. then rose and trippier were still playing like they were wingbacks and we were having it easy hoofing it to the fast lad ;)

they reverted to 3 at back second half and then we dominated midfield even more and had it just as easy

spurs looked like they had given up.

in many ways I am actually angry we didn't grind them into the dust in vengeance for last year.
