Today’s match preview is written by guest poster Seriously Red- After our excellent start to the season, it’s clear (to me at least) that the home crowds are flocking back as we are making 26 chances per game. If we convert at least one of them, that should guarantee a top half finish. Anything else is background noise. Two points per game is the target for BowJack and the lads, getting us to the 35 point mark by Xmas. With a few EFL loans added to the mix in January - even if they are highly likely to be injured - who knows ? For sure, it’s the fans job not to mention water bottles, but to mindlessly cheer on our lads. Anyone who doesn’t really isn’t a fan of the club. The owner has given JackBow a fantastic budget, and if we take 6 points in September that should guarantee my personal target of avoiding finishing bottom. As for today’s game ...let’s see where we are at 5pm Simples
En route to the game minus my appendix. Should be getting something from the game, Bradford fans are not very hopeful today. F@ck knows what's going to happen this season. Should make top 6 but will we ever have our full squad available from injuries and suspensions.
Have you been to Bradford before mate ? If not, the ground is walkable from Bradford Interchange station. Takes about 25 min uphill.
3rd year on the trot mate meeting up with Bradford mates with the wife this year. Cabs are pretty cheap jumped in one last year £4 from town to the ground.
I fear for us today - two wins on the bounce is not Charlton territory, and after the heroics against Southend and Wycombe (FFS this is where we are now!!!) my feelsingas are diametrically opposed to DP. I'll go for a 3-1 reverse, with fingers crossed my predictions are up to their usual standard.
Sounds like it was a cracking first half. We are well on our way to 3 more points against a Bradford side in woeful form. Good time to play them.
Great win today by all acounts, and pretty much everything else went our way too. These are the games Charlton need to be winning in order to challenge the top 6, and Lee Bowyer's team is delivering the results. There will be tougher challenges ahead, but on the day we can ask nothing more of the players. Plymouth next Saturday at the Valley - a great opportunity to extend the winning run (but no taking them for granted, we must be focused). Then an away game against Luton ... a little trickier maybe but still winnable. Confidence must be high at the moment, we have to take as much advantage of that as possible. Safe journey home to all travelling Addicks fans, and a happy one too
Quality win , rode their luck in second half but there is a real team spirit building here, with fosu and Clarke to come back , this could be the season
