Okay, okay I understand what you’re saying. I’ll go to the shops on Monday and get some dubbin. The boots should be ready for Thursday. Day and a half to get fit and I should be okay for next weekend.
Yes, we've had some really tough games already this season, but I have seen very little creativity from us in any of the games. We were utter dross today and Rafa must take the blame. How the **** can he prefer Joselu to Mitro is beyond me. His tactics are ****e, formation is ****e, subs are ****e and his buys are ****e. We are a ****ing shambles and if we don't pick up points soon, we'll be adrift at the bottom and relegation a certainty. Anyone who thinks Rafa is beyond criticism needs to take a long hard look at themselves.
Dubbin for Dobbin. I'm sure Rafa would give you a go but unfortunately you've missed the registration deadline.
Palace game is now huge, anything other than a win and we could have 2/3 points after 10 games with Leicester and Man U after that. Only positive is the 9 games after that we only have 1 of the top 6 (Liverpool) although you still have teams who have confidence and a run of form behind them who have managed to play the first 6 games without having to alter their style to grind out narrow defeats. Still adamant this is all to do with Rafa's poor choices in the transfer market, Rafa's poor choice in tactics and Rafa's poor choice in squad selections thus far but have to try and back the lads and hopefully Ashley will be so **** scared by the end of January he finds his cheque book down the back of the sofa and splashes some cash but it might be a little to late by then.
Agree save the bolded part and that you fail to give credit to Ashley for his part in this. On the buying part, if you shop at the last chance saloon then don’t expect to buy world beaters or indeed anyone other than those who deserve to be in the last chance saloon.
The issue I have with that, is Rafa has gone out and bought lots of these players who aren't good enough. Is that buying for buying's sake? £15 million on Murphy, £9.5 million on Muto, ****ing off Mitrovic to keep Joselu... I know clubs are spending like £25 million on the likes of Maddison from the championship, and we aren't able to compete... in the premier league, but I don't see Rafa's choices as being good enough to improve a championship team... We'll find out next year!
I can relate to this 100% I can't kick the habit I was raging last night but then met the Mrs and went for a nice meal in Ponteland (branches if anyone interested) And tbh I forgot all about the game until this morning .. .. I need to walk away its just not fun anymore. I like the drink before and after but the game dear god its so uninteresting .. Raf will go yes but you know what I'm not ****in bothered anymore . . God help us.
I don't understand our reluctance to play Rondon and Muto, and Kenedy. Yeah these are tough games, but just give them game time to develop an understanding when more winnable games arrive. Other than that it was exactly as expected really. At least we didn't do what we did against Chelsea. I thought we had a go and did ok in the first half. I think the sense when leaving was the fans weren't too disheartened by a result they expected. Whereas against Chelsea people seemed a mixture of angry, bemused, or gutted that we'd not even tried. We tried hard and yes Rafa has made some strange decisions with player transfers. However lets not forget he hasn't been allowed to bring in everything he wanted when he wanted. Its difficult. I look at Will Hughes and Maddison. All we really needed was one of those types to give us some creativity.
Agree Ashley has hamstrung us in this regard but genuinely feel we should have done no business this summer in this case (bar replace Merino as there was little option in that). Feel the squad we had last year would have fared better than we have done so far. Maybe a replacement for Lejune as well but I'd have taken Merino out with someone better than Ki on a free and Fernandez/Schar coming in and keeping the same team as last year. Then I think the blame would have lain at Ashleys door soley but since Rafa has come in I've never personally been convinced by his transfers and tactics although I understand the appeal to some fans. How have we gone from not needing to Lazaar last year to letting 3 of our better players go and him being in the squad? Hate to admit it but I miss Dwight Gayle now as well... Just want to make the point that while I'm no Rafa fan boy, I spend an inordinate amount of my free time researching where Ashley frequents down here in London in the hope I may "accidently" walk past him and spill my coffee over him and slandering SD, HOF, Debhenams, KBA etc on twitter...because I'm cool like that.
