A big win, obviously really disappointing not to be ruthless with our chances (and they were real chances squandered) - but, no denying it, that’s a big win.

5 straight wins, happy Saturday <cheers>

Just seen the pictures of Bobby’s eye being gouged. Am I the only one who thinks that the FA need to look at that? There was no need to stick fingers into his face.... hope he’s ok!!

Bobby. Robbo had another good game too. I'd still rest mo and give shaqiri a game on Tuesday, I would. But I'm on my own there.

Markovic got sent off for last in Europe few years back... I think it was accidental, obviously didn't mean to scratch his eye, but he had no need to fling his arm up there. To really rub salt into the wound, Vertonghen then fell over handballed it and won the free kick <doh>

It's close no doubt which is great. I'd honestly go the same but yes... that's insane pressure on steroid hamster.

Allison - 8. Handling was superb, especially when you compare it to Vorm today. Did everything he needed to in a calm and composed manner.

TAA - 6, was targeted and Moura had him a couple of times. Seemed caught between going forward and defending in 2nd half
Gomez -7. Couple of shaky moments but on the whole, covered for TAA nicely and kept Kane quiet.
VVD - 8. Didn't do anything dramatic, just calm and assuring at the back
Robbo - 7. Solid enough. Wasn't really tested defensively, didn't do a lot going forward.

Milner - 9. MOTM. Was everywhere today, became the 4th attacker when pressing but was covering TAA at RB 30 seconds later. Guy has just got better with age, give him a new contract asap!
Keita - 7. Quiet game, couple of nicely moments, should have scored when played in by Mane.
Gini - 8. Great header for the goal. Kept the ball nicely and did simple things.

Mane - 6. Wasteful in the final 3rd, but a nice turn and set up for the 2nd goal.
Salah - 6. Similar to Mane, could have had a couple of goals on another day, good work rate defensively though.
Firm - 8. Only outdone by Milner. Didn't stop running, probably one of a kind type of forward in World football at the moment. Probably would have been more comfortable if he'd have stayed on or the other 2 forward had matched his performance levels.

Hendo - 6. Didn't do much, just gave extra legs.
Sturridge - 7. Kept the ball nicely, won a couple of important fouls.
Matip - 6 Nothing of note really.

I very much enjoyed the fact that Harry Kane was rarely mentioned today. No Lovren today to make him look good.

I thought the same. It was a completely unnatural movement by Verthongen - he moved his furthest away arm to swing at Firmino's face. The pictures of it look shocking.

Vertonghen is a piece of ****. He tried the same against Salah earlier in the game too. I hope someone ends his career like he could have easily ended Firmino's.

Our passing in the final 3rd has been dreadful so far this season. So many misplaced passes and generally poor link up play. Hope it's something we get a bit more fluid with as the season progresses.

We had a player sent off (Markovich) for doing a lot less than that. Btw, has anyone had a finger in the eye playing? I got one in five-a-side game once. Next day my EYES were swollen up like a ****ing bush baby. Indeed, like that kid doing the rounds who was forcibly spun to **** on that roundabout. Would not be surprised at all if Bobby doesn't play on Tuesday: it all depends what state his eyes are in tomorrow morning.

Edit: Also got one off an old girlfriend during sex. Luckily never had her false nails on. Gave me a black eye, but not as bad as the football one.
