Morning all. Weather as normal. Driving along a lane yesterday ahead of me was a cloud that you couldn't see through. Slowing down to a crawl I realised that it was a tractor in the field ploughing and creating a dust storm. Not sure when he hopes to sow anything as I cannot even get a fork more than a couple of inches into the ground it is so dry.
Here in Cadiz a decent downpour last night. In the previous days we had a couple of those annoying showers. Enough to freshen a few leaves but offering no other value. OFH this year the tomatoes, in the shops, have been noticibly poor compared with other years. Large white cores, inconsistant rippening. Have you seen that or do you grow all you can eat anyway? Anyway, spanish family have demanded authentic chinese, not the spanish poor man's fusion, so I'm off to do the difficult job of finding fresh products. And then buying tinned of what is not available here. But I'll be back for 3pm. Wine in fridge. .4 hours of footie C'mon canaries C'mon 'orns. YELLOW YELLOW YELLOW
No Canaries stream Norwich well on top with possession and shots. tweet tweet HT and the canaries on top
Strangely enough kc I do not like tomatoes in their raw state. I enjoy tomato soup, tomato sauce with something, etc., but faced with a raw one in a salad it gets pushed to one side. Mme had an illness from cherry tomatoes when we grew some outside the back door here. Each time she went past she would pop one in her mouth. Now she can still eat raw ones, but has to remove the skin and pips. I have grown some of the large beef ones this year mainly for use in a cooked state and they have been very good all the way through. I did wonder why with all the sun and heat why they took so long to ripen, but discovered that they will not go red if the temperature is above 30°C, which it was for weeks.
Bit nerve racking with all that extra time. But great 3 points with many in the bottom half winning. Looks a really tight table. Well done you Canaries
Morning all. Bright and sunny as normal. Off to my monthly dinner today, but knowing where the loyalties lie maybe football will not be such a hot topic.
Same here. Yesterday's rain a distant memory. But I still need to put the Azelias back in the semi-shade. I hope they appreciated real rain water for a change. Well off to buy the bread and then make my step-daughter a steak sandwich. She'll be on a 2 0'clock train from Cadiz to Madrid (4 to 5 hours). She'll need that sandwich. Enjoy your dinner OFH.
So am I. Gone rather sticky here. Which is odd as there is a breeze and temps are down a bit. Just sticky air I guess. Talking of sticky not much luck for the Toffees or Sean. But Hammie won in Singapore Hasta manana
