With the team news, I think that we have to revert to the 4-2-3-1 and start Son.
Let Dembele play for the first hour, then take him off before he starts struggling and stick Winks in.
Hopefully the pace either side of Kane will cause them a lot of problems.

  5. That is a bizarre statistic! Always regard his appointment with dread.... TBF I do remember him just being a **** ref in a lot of other non-Spurs games <laugh>

Last season he did the 3-2 at West Ham, where he sent off Aurier. Can't complain about that decision.
He also took charge of the 2-0 win over Watford, where I thought he was quite ****, but we won anyway.

The season before that he had quite a lot of games, which I'll list in reverse order to see the run.
The 6-1 at Leicester, which was utterly one-sided. The 2-0 over Arsenal, which was also quite dominant.
The 4-0 home win over Bournemouth, which was another stroll. The 3-2 over Everton, which flattered them massively.
The 4-1 at Watford, in which they were lucky to get 1. That's seven and we lost the game before that 2-1 to Chelsea.
That was a game which we controlled completely until Pedro equalised and then we threw it away.

He also had our match against Palace near the start of the season, which we won 1-0.
I missed that because of a Christening, so I can't give any indication of how he performed.

I always feel that he lets teams get away with murder for ages, then throws cards everywhere after some arbitrary point, though.
Loses control of matches, then goes mental trying to regain it and fails miserably.

I’d do the opposite with Winks/ Dembele.

Think having Winks from the start will hopefully help us keep possession even if it means we don’t penetrate much through the middle. Then after the hour mark, bring Dembele on with the idea of him doing like what he done against Fulham a few weeks back and just completely boss it against tired-ish legs.

Let Lucas and Sonny tear them to shreds and provide Kane with numerous opportunities. When all three complete their hatricks replace them with some youngsters to save the mousers too much embarrassment. Audere est Facere:emoticon-0103-cool::emoticon-0103-cool::emoticon-0103-cool:

I suspect that purely posting on this article + your
current user name already practically did that.

    You got complacent, LDL.
You thought he was gone for good.
You thought you would stroll the "Paul Stewart" cup this season.

He has returned from the "sunshine" state to remind you who is boss.

Just been on the OS. It looks like all tickets that were on sale originally have gone and they're now selling the ones right at the back of 506-512 and 531-538 that are usually covered in black material. Maybe about 800 left or so?

So, despite talk of supposed fan disquiet regarding the new stadium and supporters staying away from Wembley this season, it should be a really excellent attendance. I'm in 531 again and looking forward to a cracker. Let's make some noise girls and boys. COYS!

I'm hoping to see Lamela in action tomorrow in the absence of Dele. He's the sort of player we need against the likes of Liverpool.

And yes, I shall be watching tomorrow's game and this normally means Spurs will lose.

We are going to have report you to the RSPCA unless you take Barney for a long walk at 12:30 tomorrow. And yes, Lamela is certainly the type of player we need against van Dick (cue torrent of mouser abuse).

Tell you what, I will watch the game tomorrow. If Spurs lose yet again, I will refrain from watching Spurs until the new stadium is completed. I simply have to see the stadium when it's completed so please don't deprive me of that.

Besides the fact I shall be watching, I have faith that Spurs can beat Liverpool.
