Thanks everyone. I'm not gone... Not sulking either... I actually did start typing an "I'm back" thread, the day the ban was lifted (the current username was set at that point... It was a joke prison escape recountance just being silly). Anyhow long story short without incriminating myself... I lost what I had written up and didn't feel like rewriting it. I was going to later... In the meantime I got a call that a friend of mine was arrested (silly reason... I'll talk about that elsewhere) and I felt a little deflated about that. I obviously didn't feel inclined to write any prison jokes after that. In the meantime, I had got involved in a couple of conversations elsewhere whilst I was banned here and kind of got drawn in over there... I've been a little busy too so spending very little time online in general. (You probably wouldn't have seen much of me this past week even if things were otherwise normal). Thank you everyone for the support. I do appreciate it. You are all fantastic... I will probably only be around a little in the next few weeks anyway as both home and work are a little crazy at the moment. But I am sorta back.
Thanks, With any luck it will miss me. Probably be flooding around here though... I should be safe where I am. Kids have the week off school because of hurricane. Coastal areas are evacuated and the inland schools are used as shelters.
I sometimes send pictures to the Mrs. With romantic poetry to be silly. Roses are red, feces is brown, You make me smile, When I'm feeling down... Etc. She is quite used to bizarre texts from me. It's even better now her car reads her text messages to her. I deliberately try to embarrass her when she has company.
I read a bunch of Americans elsewhere complaining about "lily-livered liberals" and "millennial snowflakes" and political correctness, which is a generic get out of jail free card to them, utilised to avoid the need for any robust argument about a specific issue. Feminism? Political correctness gone mad. Gender-neutral bathrooms? Political correctness gone mad. Ending corporal punishment in schools? Political correctness gone mad! "I was beaten by an adult when I was a child, it didn't do me any harm and I'll beat the crap out of anybody who says it did." So it seemed like they were all really offended by some vague "human decency" thing, which was a huge irony, what with them whinging so pathetically about how offended everybody left of Trump gets. However, I asked if I needed to explain what irony means, because y'know, Brits have that stereotype about Americans not getting irony, I guess meaning they're all stupid or something, and hooboy, did they not like me stereotyping them like that. Which was even more irony and I had to leave before I OD'd on the stuff. So yeah, Americans, *eyeroll*
Funny enough, part of the state had an earthquake this week. Only 2.6 though thats about the minimum threshold that you can feel one. It wasn't where I am though. It's been a few years since I was in one I could feel.
Did you hear the weather channel's defence of this? They said he was standing on wet grass and the two men were on concrete... And because he was on wet grass he has less traction. Defending this just makes them look more ridiculous. Sometimes it's better to just hold up your hand and say "you got me, sorry"... Instead it's "he was on wet grass".
