There's a coming together and then Miazga, displaying all the wit of a modern day Oscar Wilde, points out that Diego Lainez is very short. I'm sure Lainez was very surprised to learn this news. Video and article here. https://metro.co.uk/2018/09/12/chel...cking-height-of-mexicos-diego-lainez-7935781/
An expression of utter contempt for an opponent, which Mexico could not let stand, thus the red card challenge 2 mins later, and our goal 2 mins after that! Is the Sunderland / Newcastle rivalry based on utter contempt or just bragging rights???
I mean, the Mexican could have just said ‘ha ha, you may be taller, but your absolutely dog **** at football’ Play 10 times Mexico beat USA 9 Times, light years ahead as a footballing nation.

Miazga is a Chelsea loanee, currently starting for Nantes, the Mexican plays in some third world country, nobody wants to live in. USA has won 14 out of the last 27, Mexico has won 7.
So I think you're saying the ends justify the means? Personally, and I'm pretty sure I may be in a minority on this, I would be embarrassed if one of our players did that or anything like that to belittle an opponent. But that's just me.
But the overall picture is Mexico continually churn out top class footballers. USA have had arguably 2, Donovan and Howard. Mexico are unquestionably a better footballing nation, and really a lad pulling someone up on height? I’ve seen 5 10 lads drop 6 4 lads for fun around the North East, Miazga won’t make it at Chelsea but that’s not the point. He’s probably taller than Pirlo, Zola, Insigne.... blah. Maybe even taller than Ronaldo, Messi... who wins? They do.
