Brighton will be well up for this game, but I think our lads will understand the importance and carry us over the line. Nervy 2-1.

Gabbi? There must be something about him that Sparky doesn't like. Don't know what it is (I don't see him train every day) but I suspect it'll be a while before we see him start.

I predict a good win for us. Looking forward to a good evening game (always my favourite, love the atmosphere).

I don’t really like Monday night games but if it means the international break is over then so be it.

I'm going to this and to make it feel more like a Saturday I've booked Monday and Tuesday off work. :1980_boogie_down:

Possible chance to go with a three at the back; Yoshida, Vestergaard, Hoedt. Allowing both full backs to push on to provide width/pace for the two up top ~ Ings, Austin

We’ve tried three at the back and looked horrible.

Not looking forward to this game at all.
I fly back from Spain the day after and I don’t want to do that as I am enjoying myself too much out here.

Worked well for MH when he saved saints last season!
Has only looked "iffy" when he was unable to call on his key players who were late into their pre-season due to world cup participation.

Postscript: certainly gives Saints more attacking options at St Mary's than a flat four & 2 x holding midfielders!

Three at the back can certainly work bit I think it's better suited to some games more than others.

Away at Anfield next week? Absolutely.

Home to Brighton? Not so much.
