Agreed SLB however every hornet has the right to defend him or herself! when attacked and Dan whilst trying to do good and with the best of intentions has taken a lot of flak as have I !

Fair enough, Norway, I really wasn't having a go at bhd, I just think we need to stop all sniping - no names no pack drill. It does the site no favours as I'm sure we all agree. We are Watford fans after all. We know better than this. Best to 'do a Barbara Windsor' i.e. turn the other cheek ;).

This is one of the very few times i will resort to 'sniping' SLB. Once i have an explanation i will drop it.

I wasn't having a go at anyone, honestly. My feelings are that we are all Hornets together. However, I'll butt out, there's obviously more to this than meets the eye. Perhaps PMs might be a way of sorting it out? Just a thought.

I hope those involved can resolve it <ok>.

Although we have had critics complaining about a lack of of bite SLB ,different folk want different things !! we can have a harmonius friendly place (my preferred choice) or a more feisty wobby style ! but I guarantee you whatever I and Dan do will be wrong in the eyes of some!

whinge over thats me done , I\m going back to being a luvvie!!!

There have been some moments before W_Y, we just usually move them to PM.

Too many navels being gazed at. We're all free to post, not to post, or go down to the pub instead...

It sounds a bit like a set of Rules, dan, that's all. :)
People can post where they like as far as I'm concerned. I find it easier to see a new thread for each bit of news, if others don't want to do that it's fine, I look at NewsNow Watford too. I just don't want anyone to be told off for posting in the 'wrong' place.

The efforts of the moderators are appreciated. Without you we would be vulnerable to idiots - well non-Hornet idiots I should say. ;)

Jesus, why is this still going on?!

Let's introduce some dictatorship and lock this thread.

It's just an internet forum!! I am sure most peoples lives will not be greatly affected by someone posting club news in a thread about a heat wave in Samoa, or the odd "lol".

Sorry OFH but you know I always want to explain my position

    Dan

    1) You were trying to wind me up so I decided not to respond to your puerile attempt
    2) I don't like the excessive luvvie stuff but some do and that is my whole point - when was Mod I felt I had to read all posts and boy were some of them just full of "how are you" mwahhhh, lol etc. Now I am not a Mod I can and do ignore it. When I come on line in the morning I do not bother with the 10 pages of overnight Facebook style chat. However I never did as a Mod nor do now say that people should not post it. I don't like or read the chat that has no point and is just friends talking - but I would defend to the death your right to do it. You simply do not understand the concept of free speech. I politely suggest that you could have your overnight facebook conversations in their own forum but only voice that as my opinion. I do not start threads asking if people want to close down threads. Nor do I close my own thread when I realise I have stirred up a can of worms and don't like to hear people disagree with me.

All I say is if you read what a lot of people wrote on here you will find that there is little support for excessive luvvie chat - however the solution is in our own hands - we do not have to read it.

But for some of us it is precisely you two who have caused it with your excessive style of Moderation

I don't agree with you SLB - sometimes problems need to be aired and discussed and then we move on. This thread is for those of us who feel that this site has a problem or two. So long as our argument is kept mostly civil and in here then it is likely not to offend Newbies - who will probably be reading the football threads. Dan sent me a PM asking what my problem was and I responded to him in full - he said he did it to keep these arguments off the forum - but then I come on n the morning and find that Norway and Dan are yet again suggesting they are blameless innocent parties instead of the perpetrators of
it. To be fair Norway has acted better this week but probably only because he was busy at work - now he has finished he is putting his oar in again.

I want our Moderators to stop doing anything other than Moderating wumming and outrageous insults. It is not their job to develop the forum nor to tell people to open, close threads ,where to post etc. I will not be driven from here by what I consider to be tantamount to bullying.

Now that is just plain not true - I sent yo a very full and polite response to every point you made - do not confuse my failure to roll over and do what you tell me with "trying and failing " - whatever you mean by that.

If you llke Dan I will publish on here the e-mail so others can see that I am being totally honest - we just do not agree - if you stop having a go at me I will stop defending myself

    I don't agree, Leo, sorry.

For whom is it being aired? I really think this is the territory of PMs. Newbies, IMHO, would be affected by what looks like bickering regulars. Would you walk into a pub and stay if the regulars were bickering at each other? Or go elsewhere? In the hypothetical pub and here, it is too boring for people to listen to. But that doesn't mean people are left unaffected by it. The pub bickerers may well feel their differences would be better aired. I fear the passerby would disagree.

I'm going to leave you to it.

    COYH <ok>
