If I recall correctly, Alan Irvine had a pretty decent record before Farke took over. Where is he now?
I always get the following when someone posts a twitter link: "Cannot load tweet. Disable your adblocker and tracking protection." I have to right click the link and open in a new tab to see it.
I wondered may times what was going through AN's head and never came up with an answer. He did the same with Bamford, finally giving him a start against Palace after Pardew has been trashing Bamford in the press the week before. Bamford had a poor game and that was about it for him.
When the England squad for these Nations League games was announced, I said I didn't mind Maddison being left with the U21's, because the likes of Gray, Chilwell, Gunn, Wan-Bissaka, Tom Davies, etc were able to learn to play together, and build a generation. So to now call up Chilwell and Gray for the senior team, does rather make me question that! I can understand the need for a LB to cover Shaw's injury, but Bertrand would have made more sense than Chilwell. So you can look at another player and keep that young squad together. Not sure why Gray is needed, and Maddison has outperformed both this season.
OOoops Remi Matthews Bolton Wanderers facing administration https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/45479624
I like this from the Pinkun roundup: "The summer signing scored his fourth goal of the campaign in all competitions, after scoring three for the Canaries since signing on a free transfer from Danish side Brondby. The former Celtic and Schalke attacker notched his 13th goal on the international stage when winning his 64th cap for the Finns, sealing a 1-0 home win over Hungary in their Uefa Nations League Group C2 opener. Pukki used his pace to power into the right channel and cut on to his left foot to calmly roll home from 10 yards in just the seventh minute, scoring the only goal of the game in Tampere." It's amazing to think that we signed him on a free transfer.
Just seen the news that Bolton are likely to be going into administration. Does that mean that Remi Mathews will be coming back to us in January as they will have a transfer embargo? They appear to have been on the edge of disaster for several years now.
I've seen somewhere that Brum are facing a 12 point deduction for flouting FFP, yet Villa who were within a whisker of going into administration .....
