Poor start cost us, we should have won, but today was a banana skin and a half and it hasn’t stopped our moment. You can tell Barton manages them with the amount of dirty tackles, and time wasting from the first bloody minute. Second half I thought we were excellent, unbeaten though still which is always a positive, and super pleased for Maja getting yet another goal.
Aye, it was disappointing not to win the game, but I’m starting to feel hope again with this team, they’re not perfect, but you get the sense that things are starting to turn for us, the lads are giving everything again and the crowd really feel it.
Looking at the results today suggests this league is much tighter than some suppose, we are unbeaten and improving imo, this is going to be a great season for us I am sure of it, the squad is up for it and so is the crowd, and in Jack Ross we have a winner, who knows what he is doing, its great having a manager at last who looks like he is enjoying the job, its infectious.
We're only 7 games in, 39 still to go. Still unbeaten. Like Peterborough, we're still a relatively new squad. It may take 10 -15 games to settle the defence down and to start regularly keeping clean sheets. Many reasons still to be optimistic about automatic promotion.
Tough game and I'd say a draw was fair given we had better chances but we had to save a pen. Chuffed for Maja again, what a season he's having for his development.
Our toughest of the season so far! We've got Peterborough in 3-4 weeks. About 4 games away. That should be a better barometer of how we're doing.
Well done McLaughlin. That was the first time we've saved a penalty at home since Tony Norman in 1989
Said it last week, McGeough is an absolute passenger. We might as well of had no midfield he closed down nothing effectively and allowed Fleetwood to run at our defence all day. I'm not having him like seems a luxury we can't afford just now.
Still working his way back and getting minutes under his belt though. When I saw him the other week he looked class on the ball.
We have options in there, but he may need to ease in, some players are like that, shame we had not got his partner to play alongside him as they were something of a double act by all accounts, early days but he ain't pulling up many trees at the moment. Time will tell. See Embelton scored for England again, the future looks rosy for us in midfield, its a matter of finding the right combination in there, one way or another this is a season of change and its going to be for the better no doubt about it.
Looked nothing but average on the ball to me but I'll accept he's still working his way back to fitness and I hope that's the reason for his total anonymity off the ball.
Better off losing last week and winning today though, the curse is back at the SOL I am afraid, bad defending is costing us need to get a 6' 5" defender in in Jan. we battered them mind, and why can't we not start like that ? but with Watmore and Mcgeady due back we should make the play offs.
There's no curse man. Just so long as long as the idiots in the crowd don't start turning on the players/manager all will be fine. We're still unbeaten. Confidence will grow from that.
Yeah I'd say so looking forward to that one. I knew it'd be a tough physical game because what else would you expect from a Barton team but I expected our quality would win us the game which didn't really materialise. Some good moments but Fleetwood defended well. Side note Evans was about to take the pen when Barton spoke up and switched it to the guy who missed it so **** you Barton.
Pleased to see the lads come from behind again and refuse to be beaten. My worry all season has been our lack of physicality, there seems a lot of yellow cards given out in this league three for us again today same as last week it could cost us in suspensions later on. Are we over compensating with trying too hard to get a foothold in each game. Other than that happy to carry on unbeaten.
