Disappointing lunch today in a place where the food is usually good.

You'd think it would be difficult to spoil a meze but why is it that every bloody chef in the country is incapable of sending out pita bread that isn't ****ing rock hard!

And why do waiters look like they've been slapped in the face when they don't get, its good or fine, to how's the food sir, but no, actually its disappointing today.

I'm never rude to the waiting staff but they shouldn't expect everything's fine when it isn't!

My son's a chef and he always gets it in the neck if I have a bad or disappointing meal. Even when he's 60 miles away <laugh>

If it isn’t right, I tell them politely and honestly why I’m not having it, and I send it back, not even arsed. Never take them up on the invariable offer of them getting you another dish when you do this btw <laugh>

I’ve only ever had a problem once doing this, when some bell end manager fetched the chef to try and tell me that the Sirloin they served me was actually the fillet that I ordered. It didn’t end well.

Yep. Me too. I hate it when people are really sarcy to the kids doing the waitressing. They're kids earning a few quid for ****s sake.

Its the chef who sends the food out. Its their responsibility.

I went continental for lunch. Bought some olive bread, cured meats, cheese for lunch. A charcuterie to upper class folk.

    And the Shiraz is open.

They're ok. Not much different to Mitchell and Butler gastro's. Didn't know they do vouchers.

No get points on love 2 shop from an auction house. So converted £200 to tk maxx then £100 for Miller and Carter. I fully intend to eat a steak that’s meant for two people.

Best guess, about 2.5 times the weight of a usual fillet steak of 8oz, so about 20 I reckon.

Just checked it’s 16oz. That’s not a sharing steak ffs.

    The tomahawk is only 30oz.

Reckon I will end up with the 20oz t bone.
