    Biggest dilemma of the day!

Tonight I will be mainly cooking roast pork neck with roast potatoes and parsnips, apple sauce, sage and onion balls and seasonal boiled vegetables

I am sitting in my living room reading the paper and lovely smells are wafting in from the kitchen. I shall soon be called to the dining room with "Supper is ready" when I will find out what I am going to eat this evening. The kitchen is a room I avoid but I did go there once and made a cup of tea for the lovely Mrs Godders when she had flu. She didn't think much of my tea making skills (apparently you have to boil the water) and got up and made her own after that. I knew that if I had made a decent cup of tea I might be expected to make it when she was well and that would never do.

both men and women have very similar brains, arms and legs. Both are quite capable of cooking, cleaning, organising, engineering, writing, digging or parking a car. It's always useful to learn all these skills as sometimes you will need to employ them when least expected. (except reverse parking, women can't do that)

I knocked up some nice, healthy prawn cakes - lemongrass, garlic, bit of ginger and a decent bit of chilli from the greenhouse...had it with salad

And a pile of crispy fries

As said on the other thread, nice home made Chicken Tikka with pilau rice. Was lovely. My Grandma would have been proud of me.

I made Halloumi in a Brioche roll topped with avacado and tomato with fries for my other half as she is a veggie and not keen on curry.

My 15 year old still calls it squeaky cheese - can't see the point of cooking cheese that doesn't melt IMHO., and brioche sucks as a burger bun. DAMN YOU GASTROPUBS

Whoever thought it was a good idea to stop serving Burgers in good old Sesame seed buns , and replace with Brioche , deserves to be shot .:steam:
